Good hip orthopedic doctors in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking for a good orthopedic doctor/surgeon in Bangkok. I am 71 years old and had a total hip replacement six years ago on my left hip. Since more than a years ago I have pain and stiffness on my right upper leg (unoperated hip). From MRI I was told that there are some fluid near the right hip joint and was given a cortisone injection. It lasts only a few days then the pain came back. This was done in Holland 6 months ago. I am now in Bangkok for 15 days and would like to be checked or get second opinion. I have searched: Bamrungrad seemed to have a lot of doctors in this field - so many, it's difficult to find out which one. Most of the orthopedic doctors there are from Siriraj not so much from Chula? I wonder if the new Siriraj will be a good option. A friend told me of dr. Suraphol Kesprayura at Camillian hospital. Does anybody have experience with him. I have CD of the MRI and medical papers with me.

Please help with any information, any advice or tips.

Thank you so much in advance for your time,

Rujira

Have no experience but this doctor appears to specialize in total hip replacement procedures and do know the hospital (Vejthani) is dedicated to such activity (King of Bone) being new logo.  Should not be too costly for visit (less than Bamrungrad) and he is was schooled at Chula.
