I voted to remain. I think that the policy will have racist undertones when introduced so no I don't agree with it. They give Thai people full citizenship after a period of time which entitles them to free education, free healthcare and a pension far in excess of 600 baht/month. They are treated no differently to any other British citizen. A vast difference to a Brit retiring to Thailand and living here for many years.

interesting bit is that Cons attracts heaps and heaps of votes from blue collars and other

salary workers.

Not only in UK but also in a bunch of other countries in Europe.

You have actually raised a better question - why do so many working class people vote for the tories time and again? Johnson, Mogg, the rest, they couldn't give two figs about any of them, yet our pliant and willing countrymen still can be relied upon to tug the forelock, bow the head and keep these individuals in power.

The Labour Party has long been taken over by middle class people who care more about transexuals being able to use the female toilets than the British working class suffering from deprivation.

Plus, the breakdown of working class communities as heavy industry, coal mines, factories and unions have been decimated over the years.

So they can't relate to Corbyn, and then along comes Boris promising them he will rid them of these pesky eastern Europeans taking their jobs, houses and places in the hospital queues.

A lot of senseless slogans: 'Get Brexit done' ' Oven made', but he offers tangible hope in their eyes, it sounds real.

Of course it's all nonsense, the British working class are destined for even lower paying jobs but nationalism will give them a short hit.
