The Platinum Group is taking steps to stimulate sales at its Platinum Fashion Mall in Bangkok and assist store proprietors as the Covid-19 virus scare sees shopper volume tumble.

“The measures include ensuring the health of both sellers and customers,” the group said in a press release on Thursday (February 27). “We have also talked to the entrepreneurs who operate shops in our mall.”

Sales promotions will be mounted on an “urgent” basis and areas prepared areas for advertising media.

Visitors are screened for Covid-19, though it acknowledged that the number of visitors has “decreased in line with the current situation”.

The group said 60 per cent of people visiting the mall are Thais and 40 per cent foreigners, mainly from India, China, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

no, you can't screen people for COVID-19 at a shopping center.

it taked at least 5 days to get results from a real LABORATORY CHECK.

what you can do is scan people for their body heat and make them feel as if

everything is under control, but it does not mean you can tell if they carry

the virus or not.

Does anyone know how the MAYA Centre in Chiang Mai is faring these days?
