Is that really how investigations are supposed to begin? That is the actual definition of a witch hunt. It's not a situation where you have the presidents son saying that he loves the idea of Russian interference and his son and son and law taking the meeting and then lying about it to try to cover it up. That on the backdrop of Roger Stone teasing leaks of an illegal act before it was public knowledge, and a Trump campaign official having a drunk conversation where he alluded to Russian interference.

This is a situation where the vice-president's son took a job where he was overpaid without any suspicion even of wrongdoing, there is no evidence of wrongdoing. Now there is a good argument to be made that Hunter Biden doesn't get that job if he isn't Joe Biden's son. But this is also a situation where Guliani and Nunes were both actively seeking dirt on it for obviously political reasons. And they never found it. There is supposed to be suspicion of a crime for investigation.

Citizen Trump....based on some cooked up BS based purely on appearances and no proof. The investigation and its many subpoenas that followed were supposed to provide incontrovertible evidence but it turned out to be a lie.

 

Now the shoe is on the other foot....expect no mercy for Joe.

 

The question that needs to be probed as deeply and for as long as possible is:

What was Hunter Biden doing, or what was his father doing for the 80K or so a month?

The subpoenas were meant to obtain witness testimony and documentation.

 

Trump ordered those who were subpoenaed not to comply.

 

Which doesn’t mean the witness statements and documentation will never be produced.

According to IG the investigation on Russian interference was properly predicated.

 

Until now, there has been no official investigation into Biden, likely because they find it hard to properly predicate it.

The Senate commission is collecting information and plans some hearings, let's see if they find enough ground to launch an official investigation. It is very far from it, yet.

So what? The corrupt prosecutor fired at the request of the US, the EU, the IMF and the Ukrainian parliament is not happy and filed a complaint. How does it proves anything? Ukrainian officials have already stated there was no investigation.
