90 DAYS REPORT

Featured Replies

Hello all..

I got second extension of stay on my Ed-visa on 25th Feb. does the counting of 90 days reporting start from this date, or the date i arrived in bangkok?

Thank you in advance

90 days start with last arrival or last 90 day report (whichever is later) - only first extension of stay is considered a 90 day report.  Although there are a few offices that allow 90 day reporting at extension of stay time.

90 days from the last time you signed in, THIS IS WHY IT IS CALLED A 90 DAY SIGN IN !!!

-Signed in- may be very clear for most, not necessarily for everyone.

90 days from your last arrival date, seems,

I think, more explicit.

From the on-line reporting site.

According to The Immigration Act,B.E.2522,the foreigner who has received a temporary stay permit and stayed in the Kingdom of Thailand over 90 days must notify his residence to immigration officer every 90 days.

However, if you leave Thailand anytime during the 90-day period, then the day count will restart from upon the arrival date of your re-entry into Thailand.

Add to that.

A first time extension or category change (ie not a renewal) also counts as a 90 day report.

Most people who require 90 day reporting are not traveling that often and for them it is 90 days from the last time they submitted a TM47.  Both new arrival and previous report date are the criteria.

You do not sign in for anything. You do a report of staying in country for more than 90 continuous days in the country.

Sign in would imply you sign your name on a log book or something.
