Uttama Savanayana

Admitting that the Covid-19 outbreak has struck a heavy blow to the economy, Finance Minister Uttama Savanayana says tax relief and direct monetary aid is on the way for citizens.

Posting on Facebook on Wednesday (March 4), Uttama said it was now government policy to provide public relief and stimulate the economy during the crisis.

He said his ministry would waive some taxes and otherwise “inject money” into the economy.

With the end of the crisis unforeseeable, he said, efforts were underway to keep the economy afloat.

Giving money to the public was the most effective measure, he said, but it was just one of several ways that the people most effective can be supported.

The ministry will encourage consumers to continue purchasing products and services and take other steps to boost the economy, he said.

Once the crisis eases, even more measures will be introduced, Uttama said.

He's not detail orientated is he? ????

What options are open to those who choose not to "continue purchasing products and services and take other steps to boost the economy,"

''Once the crises eases more measures will be introduced (forgotten ! ) '' he said.

…...and new motorcycles! ????

He wants to "inject money"... By cutting taxes for instance.

But where the money will come from ?

Taxes.

????

Ah non sorry, snap, my bad.

From thin air, from debt with almost zero interest rates.

The same BS again and again.

But :

1-many thai people DO NOT PAY any taxes

2-you can't force a horse to drink : the lemmings who live in fear won't invest, won't spend.

No more VAT, no more income taxes etc.

The party is over. And the so called finance minister is as powerless as his colleagues.
