ukrules
Something else occurred to me, does anyone think these minimum wage hotel employees will hang around to supervise the quarantined whilst exposing themselves to a potential risk of infection? Any hotel that takes in people on quarantine will have a lot of job vacancies within hours of them arriving.

Passengers arrived from HKG ~1pm only needed to fill in the questionnaire, got it stamped and off they go, no quarantine (as of 1-2pm today)... Richard Barrow in Thailand @RichardBarrow The press conference at the Ministry of Health was as clear as mud. Although he said it’s everyone’s civic duty to do self-isolation when returning from abroad, he finally said it would be voluntary. So, no mandatory self-quarantine for the moment unless you have a fever. 4:35 PM · Mar 6, 2020 from Samut Prakan, Thailand·Twitter for iPhone 1 1

NO MANDATORY (SELF) QUARANTINE. Just a pathetic list of "risky countries", and hot air blabla. Period. Nothing else, like we predicted. And meanwhile, snap, bad luck... a guy coming from London (february 29) was infected. Again, it's a PR disaster for the thai authorities : they should close the borders, impose quarantine etc... But they are powerless, spineless. So we will continue to import, litterally, tourists and... the virus. Again and over again. It's sanook !
