thequietman
Surely, it's better to encourage the population to stay put. People coming from the capital will be bringing the virus back to the provinces and infecting Grandma and Grandpa. Expect the rate of aged people dying to increase throughout Thailand. This is a dumb move. ????

sandrabbit
it's not a good move, at least when the tolls are working they have to slow down at the booth gate.

digbeth
this always happen every year, nothing to see here... Songkran and new years always see the tolls become free, the big ones like Hwy7 would other wise be backed up at the gates with all the travellers waiting to pay, plus it saves them on the mandatory holiday overtime pay for their toll staff that they'd otherwise have to pay out. Just because the water throwing has been cancelled doesn't mean people with scheduled paid time off won't travel home
