Bangkok shopping centres Siam Paragon and Icon Siam are hosting events organised by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to encourage people to wear protective facemasks – and to help keep up the supply.

The needed equipment and cloth are being provided at no charge for anyone wishing to make a mask for themselves or others as part of the “Thai Help Thai” campaign.

Stop by any day now through March 24 at Siam Paragon’s Fashion Gallery, and then it moves to Icon Siam, where it takes place in front of Naraya on G floor from March 25-31.

Up to 40 people can sit in on the sewing sessions, five a day starting at 10.30am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.

Must be a big room if they socially distance themselves from each other!
