Obama still hasn't endorsed Biden. That speaks volumes.

  • Absolutely we need an election. Shut up the yammering once and for all.   As to Joe, his VP pick should have a degree in Geriatric Nursing.

Biden has already promised to not use who is the best person for the job as his criteria, so who cares?

Noooo that speaks ethics and integrity

Biden is the nominee. Obama still doesn't endorse him? Bernie is freshly buried. There is no comeback possible. With what is happening on the coasts Bernie's ideas are generally accepted to be reckless at best. That leaves Biden... or?

Exactly. Of course that nominee was predetermined, so all he really had to do was keep his mouth shut until it was time to campaign for him.

Obviously the Plan. Creepy Joe won't last 6 months as President.

Because it would be politically inept to endorse Biden. Obama's endorsement isn't necessary for Biden to get the nomination. Why alienate Sander's supporters when you don't have to. Unless of course, that's what you and other Trump supporters have as your real agenda.

Another Clinton obsessive. Nostalgic much?

Never before. Biden is the 1st. He is the only candidate ever to have excluded a running mate solely because of sex. Biden is only considering a female VP, all males are excluded regardless of how suitable or qualified they are for the position. Identity politics and PC at its very very worst.

In the United States, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits employment discrimination based on race, SEX, color, national origin or religion.

whoops!!

not sure that applies to the vp pick, as that's up to the candidate to choose someperson with qualities that they hope will gain the most votes.

what IS troubling is that he's also declared that his first pick for the supreme court will be a black woman.  not just a woman, not just a woman of colour, no, must be a black woman.

excluding white men, white women, black men, asian women, hispanic women, etc......which offers a field of about 12 with the appropriate background and experience.

A CNN poll shows that a staggering 96% of Black voters over 60, would vote for Joe Biden. Is he promising early release or something?. ..................................:coffee1:

He would die before endorsing Bernie. This is well known. So it leaves the question of why he doesn't endorse Biden?

I didn't think Biden should have locked himself in like that, to promise a woman VP.  But since the majority of the electorate are women (unlike the TV forum), probably not a bad move.

How can she be VP if you guys are going to 'lock her up'?

Understandable though you may not have gotten around to that, being too busy building that wall and all....

Jim Justice the Governor  of West Virginia, interrupted Wheel of Fortune to say sing Country Roads while we wash our hands. It's either him or Cuomo or somebody else now. Reminds me of Thailand when your TV was used to spy on you.

The thing is people in cities are going to need outside help. There are many of us out there that will step up to the plate. Bars can deliver booze now. That should never change.

Another point is does anybody believe we will be having an election in November at all? Given the rate the virus is growing we can't make plans for tomorrow or next week never mind in 6 months time. Seeing as Trump is just knocking this one out of the park in terms of being an incredible war time leader I think we should leave him in place until normalcy returns.

The election is mandated in the constitution.

Delaying, canceling the election is not a thing.

We could always try impeachment again. I bet he did something.

He will endorse Biden when Bernie is forced to drop out. Why lend more obviousness to what is already obvious?

You don't get it?

That would be ironic, given that Biden voted to put many of their loved ones in prison for extended sentences for relatively minor offenses.

I would get it if he were still president. De facto endorsement of Biden if he dies while president.  But he's not president anymore.

If Bernie had been the nominee, no doubt Obama would have endorsed and campaigned for him.  Because that's the sort of guy he is.  Just like when Trump became President and Obama ensured a thorough and professional turn-over of the WH....even though he clearly had no respect for Trump and probably despised him.

I am guessing Obama will surprise everybody and endorse Trump at this point.

It's pretty well known that Obama would have intervened against Bernie.

Known by whom? I'm guessing mainly be Trump supporters who are massively disappointed that Sanders isn't going to be Trump's opponent.

The candidates will sit demurely in a row as Joe goes down the line stopping to hold each one by the shoulders, sniff their hair, give them a hug and whisper something in the ear that makes blush.

And that's how the woman who will become in a few years our first female President will be chosen.

Just kidding. I wish though Joe hadn't committed himself to a woman. There are competent men out there. No need to refuse to give them even a look. Plus there's plenty of male chauvinism still in the midwest blue collar class he needs to win. Heck, Hillary lost white women to Trump. I hope they do some hard calculating before making the call.

Hogwash,

In order to find the absolute 'best person' for the job Biden would have to run a selection process to choose between every conceivable candidate - No body, no organisation ever chooses 'the best person for the job'.

They make a selection based on a handful of criteria and go with that.

Of course you think its Hillary, you always think its Hillary - You've got a Hillary fixation, we get that.

Maybe Andrew Cuomo who is now the talk of the town and seem miles ahead of Trump in his handling of the pandemic in NY. He is young too.

On the bright side Trump will suspend the elections and declare martial law. So what are we even arguing about?

Nope.  It will be a white female.  Biden already has the black vote who come out for him in numbers.   Putting a black on the ticket might cost him some Republican votes.  Warren is the only one of the wannabes capable of being president.  But Biden won't forgive her for attacking him, so it will be someone else.
