The Centre for Covid-19 is undergoing a thorough sanitisation after an official of the Public Health Ministry who was infected with Covid-19 attended a meeting there.

The process began at 3pm today and would continue for four days. Journalists were advised not visit Government House as the centre will broadcast its announcements on NBT channel and the official Facebook page ThaigovSpokesman.

Moreover, the centre will upload photos on Google Drive and Government House’s website for the safety of the media and Government House officials.

Government spokesperson Narumon Pinyosinwat said that the infected official had been admitted to hospital for treatment while 30 persons had had close contact with him were ordered to self-quarantine at homes.

The government will now deliver information and documents to the media via an online platform to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
