Vet who broke curfew to treat sick animal finds himself in jail - later apologises

A vet who went on Facebook to say he had been arrested while out on a mercy call to help a sick animal during the 10 pm to 4 am curfew has apologized after a firestorm of negative comment was directed against the authorities.

Phuket Immigration launches ‘field offices’ in lockdown areas

Phuket random testing campaign to test 3,000 people for COVID-19

PHUKET: Health officials have set a target of screening up to 3,000 people in just three main areas in Phuket in the hope of identifying people infected with COVID-19 before those people can spread the disease further.

Thailand’s total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 2,258, with 111 new cases confirmed over a 24-hour period while three foreigners died, Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman of the government's Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said on Wednesday (April 8).

Virus drains Thailand of 8.5 million visitors

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has revealed that the number of international visitors arriving in Thailand between January and March fell by 8.54 million, or 35.3 per cent, to 15.67 million, compared to the same period last year.

32 Thais stranded in Japan finally come home

BMA launches mobile unit for Covid-19 swab tests

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), in collaboration with with the well-known Mor Lab Panda Facebook page run by medical technologist Parkpoom Dejhutsadin, has launched a mobile unit to provide Covid-19 swab tests for high-risk cases at their homes or at their communities, Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmuang said on Wednesday (April 8).

MADRID (Reuters) - The number of daily coronavirus deaths rose in Spain for the second day on Wednesday as 757 people died over the past 24 hours, though the pace of the proportional daily increase in the death toll slowed down slightly, the health ministry said.
