Fingers crossed this works.

The problem the world has with this virus and the whole lockdown thing, is that as soon as everyone comes out of their homes, and as we enter fall & winter, it only takes one infected person to start the whole damn cycle off again.

Until will can gain some herd immunity, preferably through a vaccine or through so many of us having been infected, this just won't go away.

And remember we haven't even seen what happens when this stuff spreads through the slums of the southern hemisphere as they enter their winter. There will be a reservoir of this virus hanging on for a long time

Good news but highly unlikely that everything will go perfect. at least something to look forward to. Also hope they don't sell it to a US company to keep the prices under control.

"She added that having something ready by the autumn is "just about possible if everything goes perfectly", but warned that "nobody can promise it's going to work".

I’ve noticed that a lot of news organisations are publishing optimistic stories about possible vaccines.

the tone of these articles are often in sharp contrast with infectious disease experts who stress that 12-18 months is the minimum and even that would be incredibly quick.

hope they find one though.

There will probably vaccines in a couple of months (Taiwan yesterday said in July).

These first vaccines will be dangerous because they have been insufficiently tested. They will be used to vaccinate medical personnel,  later old people in institutions.  The general populace will not be vaccinated as long as the vaccines are not much more extensively tested,  this will be next year,  maybe later.
