A good point.

Perhaps the Thai government's idea of 'within reason' might be that users say that China doesn't push Taiwan 'reunification' too quickly, in order to give the island time to adjust to the idea?

I’m surprised that nobody’s yet raised the easiest way of punishing China, which wouldn’t affect world trade or start a nuclear war, just cause them to lose huge face. Bring Taiwan back into the fold. Make them a full member of the U.N., a member of the WHO naturally, have a Taiwan team at the Olympics.

Again?

What's 'again'?

Were they in the UN or the Olympics? I have no idea.

I think anger across the world is brewing very quickly - they have cost us all dearly and should pay for that

we handed them our technology - schooled and trained them and now they are using it against us, IMO there should be a full blown effort across the free world to blank them, Putin and the wee fat man will of course rally to support them - dangerous times ahead I think, Thailand will go were they can benefit the most financially and are becoming more like them by the day

If the West stopped aggressively pushing closer to Russia militarily, and followed the Original Promise when the Wall Came down, "NATO will not move One Inch Beyond Germany" (James Baker III, speaking on behalf or GHW Bush), Russia could have been a long-term ally of the West.

I believe they still could be - or at least non-aligned with China - if the West would quit trying to coup the govt ("anti-Putin" party-leaders caught meeting together at the US Embassy a few years back, etc), to gain control of Russia's huge natural-resource base.

Give Russia no other option, and they have no choice but to work with with any nations which oppose those trying to destroy their autonomy - China, Iran, etc.

Name one virus that was created in a lab.

Name one virus that was successfully made infectious to humans when before it was only passed between animals such as bats.

There were many published papers on doing exactly this with viruses - aka "gain of function" research.  One justification was to create vaccine carriers.  Another was just to understand the processes that allow virus mutations lead to zoological transfer (from one species to another).

This research was banned in the USA after a particularly disturbing paper, explaining how some scientists had taken H5N1 (aka "bird flu" - mortality rate 60%) and modified it + passed it through ferrets (which share a key-receptor with humans) to become person-to-person transmissible in humans.

Other published research involved similar with "bat" corona viruses, with 2 of the scientists whose work on this (published) had to stop work in the USA (due to the ban) - later continuing it at the Wuhan lab.

Thai immigration must recognize Taiwan as an independent country. They classify Hong Kong as "China Hong Kong" (Line 271), but Taiwan is just Taiwanese (line 98).

Maybe something to share on the Twitter feed.

The most interesting side effect about all of this is that it has had a unifying effect on the world against the chinese government.  HK, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, even some Iranian people (not government) have joined in trashing the role of China in a lot of wrongdoings and misinformation in the world.

It's even brought together in agreement of posters here on Thaivisa that typically don't agree with each other.

This is a good thing here Thailand has done for the world.  I am very proud of the hilarious netizens here

As regards Lazada, you buy cheap and you get cheap..

Joshua Wong is due a clip round the ear. He's already been given the bum's rush from Thailand.

This explains a lot, and no, Joshua Wong is not due a clip around the ear because we have something called freedom of speech in this world. Do you have a problem with freedom of speech?

Unfortunately - that train has left the station a few years ago, the Russians know too well that the US is not agreement capable, as cited in your example with Nato, and recently with the JCPOA, and countless others.

I would rather have the enquiring minds and bravery of Joshua Wong and his like than the communist juggernaut of conformity that is China.

Wow!  I hope to see follow up to this.
