Stand in front of a mirror and read that out loudly to yourself, see if you recognize anyone.

  • In an interview with journalist Howard Fineman, this is what Stone said, related to his stated hope that his sentence is commuted:   “He (45) knows I was under enormous pressure to turn on h

Fully aware , thanks, but is trump's use of the facility in the spirit of his Constitutional powers - I think not.  Personally I consider it contemptible trump undermines the Courts as a personal favour for his sycophants.

The POTUS probably figures why should Stone be punished while the very same  prosecutors who put him there are under criminal investigation lol

The president’s authority to pardon rests in the U.S. Constitution, which gives presidents nearly unfettered power to forgive federal crimes or shorten sentences for those crimes.

For those of you who have a sum total of zero access into the facts surrounding Russiagate, I can say that if you knew, it would be quite difficult for you to use the term 'hoax' in connection with it.

Having the ostensible authority to use pardon or commuting power does not mean it should be used for corrupt purposes.

Of course, I suspect that the folks who are Never Served types and have never lost friends or colleagues fighting for ideals which 45 wantonly destroys, who understand nothing of American Ideals, and who apparently find no problem with willing cooperation with hostile foreign adversaries to subvert American democracy, would still cling to their absurd use of the term 'hoax'.

America has always had a subgroup of people who are treasonous to the ideals upon which the country was founded. They will never completely go away. Beginning with the coming landslide Democratic victory on 3 November, however, that demographic will go back into hiding.

My original post that you snipped below . has the reason why he has the right to the constitutional power of his office . When you snip it, your ignoring the context of my post.

I 'snipped' as I'm not going to waste my time replying to deflection and conspiracy stuff. I have already provided my response to your claims. To emphasise my POV, I fully concur with Walker88 comment:

"Having the ostensible authority to use pardon or commuting power does not mean it should be used for corrupt purposes"

Hopefully the US can regain it's collective breath and equilibrium after the highly destructive and divisive trump administration is removed from power come 11/20.

What russa hoax scandal do you really think if you just repeat that it is true really??sorry that mantra doesent work with the majority of us just like the old standby (haters) come on November!!! Enough

One criminal pardoning another criminal. Nothing to see here, move along!

I have a right to fart at the dinner table. That doesnt mean its the right thing to do.

Don’t pin your hope on that.

Trump will keep his pardon powder dry for himself and perhaps for his daughter.

Stone is no longer useful to Trump and the last thing Trump needs is Stone stripped of his 5th Amendment rights.

Stone will be left to rot.

Have you seen the news?

OK, so you've conceded my point on your insinuation there is some limit to the number of pardons a president can realistically grant. Good for you.

Now on to the "Foreign Corrupt Practices Act". You sure you want to go there, Hunter?

I see, you still don't understand the difference between a PRIVATE person (Biden...as well connected as he may be) and a person who is in an official government position, enriching her/himself!

I am sure, you will get there...someday!

im british so not an expert on us law but i would have thought the last thing roger would want is a new trial that may last beyond the Donalds presidency hence the pardon?

Do not see Joe rushing to rogers defence and i assume mr barr will be already packed and shredded as much as he can on his way out the door

"I shall welease Woger".

Trump has already commuted stones sentence

For the record...

stone was prosecuted by the government

stone was tried on seven (7) counts

stone was found guilty by a jury of his peers

stone was sentenced to 40 months in prision

stone remains a convicted felon
