A group of 14 doctors is cautioning the Thai Government against the premature easing of lockdown restrictions, as pressure mounts from people and businesses to reopen.

The doctors submitted a five-point proposal, for the Government to consider before it decides to relax restrictions, tentatively, before the expiration of the state of emergency on April 30th.

The physicians said that the partial lockdown has, so far, been shown to contain the spread of the virus to a satisfactory level, with 32 provinces reporting no new infections for two weeks.

Well, they've already closed the schools until July and today my TG flight on the 27th June was also cancelled. So it seems they are really closing it hard........

I’ve sadly been reading some tweets from Thais and foreigners alike saying the numbers of infections is so low - why did we even bother with the lockdown in the first place.

Kind of like, “You don’t have dandruff. Why do you use anti-dandruff shampoo?” I guess some people take precautions in the hope that bad things will happen and they can say, “Ha! Told you so!”.

But it is still going to be ok to give the green flag for return of Chinese tourists to Thailand in the near future..
