So... through utter ineptitude, stupidity and ignorance this official has kneecapped any legitimacy of claiming the moral HSE ground in the fight against the dangers of counterfeited e-cigs and associated fluids which may well contain hazardous chemicals thought uncontrolled manufacture.

Amazing  how can one country have so many moronic ministers just expressing their own opinions, with absolutely no knowledge or proof of what they say.

I call it the ‘Thai Electrician Syndrome’.... Take a random Thai Guy off a street, give him a job as an electrician and suddenly he’s working on someones house ‘as an electrician’ believing he knows what he’s doing.... Of course he knows what he’s doing, he’s been told he’s the Electrician !!!!  Thai Politicians are the same... (well, many Politicians world wide are the same !)....

I have noticed that when a lots of e smokers blow out their white vapor clouds, that

is what they do. They blow out their breath, not just breath out naturally.

For the posters who have not seen this, they must either be blind, or maybe

they are the e smokers.  I have always hated seeing smokers, or e smokers doing this, while

likely thinking somehow that their action is cool, or hip, or some other

delusion.

Geezer

May I suggest you take them quietly to the side and ask them if this is the first time they've ever smoked/vaped as they are obviously doing some mad version of the norm

Paris hospital are now testing nicotine plasters against Covie-19, this must <deleted> off some people who can't accept the narrative that nicotine is helpful in some cases.

Also here's a german article:

Written by a german doctor in innsbruck who tested covid patients lungs for diving capacity. published in a german diving magazine - many of them failed, it looks like the ace2 receptors got destroyed, this is the long term damage one sees after covid infections - nicotine upregulates them tho

Utter <deleted> - everyone should be wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing, they only vape in private.

E-cigarettes were banned a long time ago, purely to protect the profits of the Thai Tobacco Monopoly !

Now, quite conveniently, they are bringing it into the Covid-19 argument, to justify the ban !

Surely smoking cigarettes also entails exhaling, but there is no vendors getting arrested, with threats of 3 years jail, or 600,000 baht fines !

Not exactly. Nothing stops the tobacco monopoly from  importing and distributing e-cigarette products. Keep in mind that all of the tobacco the monopoly uses is American.

Thailand Tobacco Monopoly: Bravely Soldiering On

Nothing would change in respect to structure. Instead of importing US  tobacco, the monopoly would import Chinese  e cigarette products that would most likely contain more lethal chemicals.

Philip Morris  has an approximate 28% market share in Thailand  It owns one of the largest e cigarette entities in the world. Instead of selling marlboro it would sell its e cigarettes.

The Thai decision on e cigarettes is actually reasonable. It is known that e cigarettes  encourage young people to take up the habit. The  justification of it being a means to ease smokers off of tobacco has not been supported by  any actual data.. E cigarettes  are dangerous and it has already been proven beyond reasonable doubt that the unregulated  nature of the products has resulted in death and injury because of the chemicals used.  On this, Thailand is doing the right thing.

Not quite, some idiots using them to get a THC hit died, not "normal" vapers.

Only if you call supporting a monopoly "the right thing".
