I've been employed as a teacher for the past 35 years in international schools in Japan, Singapore and Thailand, and I can assure you that I have never surfed Facebook or any other social media site while working.  To my knowledge, neither have any of my colleagues. Your rude, thoughtless and hurtful opinions are not appreciated, and I suggest that if you have nothing good to say, say NOTHING.

Hear hear. The OP is probably a burned out Pattaya dweller who hasn't been gainfully employed or in a classroom for years

  • Want to stay in quarantine means don't have money.  And like free room and board.

Covid-19 appears to kill people of African (aka 'black") people in the US at twice the rate for Caucasions. So there is some clinical basis for their fear.

Not really. It kills more people with underlying conditions regardless of skin color. It just happens that a higher proportion of American blacks and latinos have poor diets and, consequently, suffer from weight problems, high blood pressure, heart trouble, alcoholism, smoking addiction, and diabetes. It has nothing to do with the amount of melatonin in their skin.

To suggest that two thin young healthy black kids are at greater risk purely on the basis of skin color feeds into the deliberated engineered hysteria around race.

Simply two hustlers taking advantage of the situation.

Medical care is better and cheaper here

Not if you happen to need a ventilator.

Always be suspicious when there are no actual quotes from the subjects of the article. Looks almost like some second rate journalist was trying to provoke reactions from 'readers' of Thai Visa rather than report something factually complete.

211,000 dead in US alone!!

Not that I have any plans to go back to Sweden until the end of June, but I also prefer to stay here in Thailand rather then go to a country like Sweden or USA now.

However, they said they wished to remain under Thai quarantine until the crisis in the country eases.

As long as they can pay their way, not a real problem.

Where are these Thai EP etc schools getting foreign teachers now????
I hear that don’t want come to Thailand!

The situation here is not that bad from a health standpoint. Various studies are finding that many people had the virus without getting sick at all.

21% in New York City. In Miami, about 150,000 people or more are estimated to have had exposure. The official number is barely above 10k...

With 300 deaths in Miami,  the mortality rate is minimal.

This just in... Thai people eat water melon and fried chicken too.

More at ten...

???? yeah yeah most states are already opened ????

They look like black folks with dreadlocks.  They can't stay here.  Have they paid their medical bills???

They can return with no fear...They only have to follow the advice given by the <deleted> yellow clown - drink bleach and stick a flashlight up their asses.

I'm an American and I didn't want to return BEFORE the Wuhan Coronavirus. I have a yearly visa to be here legally and will renew it when due next year, as I have done for the past 10 years. Other than a family visit, I see NO reason to leave Thailand for the USA. That is just me of course. Thailand is not perfect but, (having been in over 70 different countries, I have not found perfection yet) this is where I chose to be.

Dont the have the money to stay outside the quarantine place ?

Maybe not. I'm amazed at how others laugh at those more unfortunate than themselves. 3 laughed at your post, shame on them.

EVA to London 3 times a week until May 4 and appears once a week after that.

Source US Embassy today.

That has been being canceled. Transits in Taiwan are canceled indefinitely.

This originates in Taiwan to Bangkok to London (BR67).

They cant leave unless the US sends a plane to pick up stranded citizens while bringing back Thais here .

Are they actually doing that in Thailand?  In the Philippines there are "sweeper" flights are a frequent basis.  Anyone registered at the US Embassy gets constant update emails.

LOL! They probably have warrants out on them in the USA! Of course they don't want to go back!

Nobody wants to go to Sweden right now with their herd immunity experiment!  No lockdown, no quarantine, just let people get sick approach is making plenty of dead Swedes!

Don't believe the hype.

I"m sitting here in America and I know not one person who has the WuhanV.

Maybe if they're from NYC. That's always been a <deleted>hole country all of its own.

Both appear to be African ethnicity.

Where do you get twice the rate? Its true it affects African American people more because of their life style. The AA tend to smoke more, be overweight, eat more fatty food. Generally, they have a far worse life style. It also kills males at a greater rate and unsure why at this point. Some have suggested its because females have a stronger immune system then males.

As for the US, stay out of NY and New jersey, that’s over half the cases in the US. Health care is the best in the world, no food shortages, no alcohol shortages. Just disliking the US is most of the problem on this forum.

Most probably just dislike the made up facts some people post, no matter where they're from.
