Govt not getting financial aid from corporations, Prayut says

After being criticised for seeking the help of Thailand’s 20 richest tycoons, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has clarified that the government has received no special financial aid from the private sector during the pandemic crisis.

Phuket turtle nest under inspection after 76 eggs fail to produce younglings

PHUKET:-- Marine biologists are investigating why 76 eggs from a nest at Nai Yang Beach that hatched on Saturday night (Apr 25) failed to produce any younglings.

Phang Nga unlocks Koh Yao, Koh Yao Yai

Phang Nga authorities decided to lift the lockdown on Koh Yao district as well as Koh Yao Yai sub-district on Tuesday (April 28) now that there have been no new Covid-19 cases in the district over the past 14 days.

Lockdown restrictions will be eased in four stages, separated by 14 days, and this will be applied nationwide, according to Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha after today’s cabinet meeting.
