Need a bit more information.. Do you want instruction in Thai or English. Indoor or Outdoor.. opps..forgot.. Outdoor.

Depending on your stroke... Most tourist areas with courts will have a resident pro..generally they can teach a bit.

Also your location..What areas are you looking at.. In BKK.. there are many places..but they will cater to the hackers among us.. are you one.. if so.. then this would be a place for you. Rates. perhaps on the high side

300 + an hour..

Find yourself sometennis instructional videos first, find a soft nerf tennis ball, then practice hitting on a stable wall. Find yourself a mirror so you can see what your stroke looks like.

Cheers

Dear Racquet back, loose wrist but firm on impact, and step into the ball...

Full time training.. Just what do you want to do? Tennis level.. in Thailand ranges from OMGad.. to hey.. not bad.

If your goal is fitness and not wanting to look like a spaz on the court...then just get out there.. you have to get out and miggle with the players.. then start playing with players with slightly higher ability than you.. it will test you and it will not be too boring for them.. above all do not lob them..because they will ram it down your throat.

Back to your original question.. a location? Well.. wherever you are located.. see if there is a major resort close by or tennis club... ask at the courts..

Remember.. take the racquet back early.. Cheers

I coached professionally in 2005-2006 in Thailand and the academy I was at was around 30,000 baht/month full time. But all the coaches there quit due to horrendous management and I now just work out with some hitters at Pyramid Tennis Academy. This place does have full time training but don't know the price and I"m pretty sure it's clientele is all Thai. But I pay about 400 baht to workout there. Sometimes I go to KS Tennis Club which is only a couple mintues from the Pyramid Academy to workout too. They do offer private lessons around 300 baht I believe and that seems to be about the going price for lessons from Thai coaches here. But as others have said, it depends on your current level as to what you should choose. If you're a novice, just going to a Thai coach would suffice for the basics. But if you're looking for serious training (strategy, physical fitness etc.), it'd be hit or miss I"m afraid (yes there are good Thai coaches here but they're working primarily with the elite Thai players. If you're looking for high level training, you can pm me and I can get you in contact with the former coaching director (a Swiss guy) at the academy I was at. He is now doing his own thing here. Not sure of his pricing but it'd be around 20 - 30k/month most likely. Or if you're a tournament level player looking to work out with live ball drills and and practice sets (no coaching), let me know as I"m now trying to get back into competitive form. :o

Not really many opportunites to coach tennis here and the pay is generally crap. My friend who was the coaching director at the international academy I was at quit and took all the players with him so he already had alot of full time players upon starting his own thing. I also coached at a sports club in BKK and was extremely busy but as I mentioned, the pay is LOW like 400-500 baht/hour and the club will keep about 30% of that. You can survive but not much else. Also, getting legal with a work permit and visa from coaching would be extremely difficult. Tennis was too unstable for me here. There's an academy in Hua Hin and one in Phuket you might try but doubtful. I was very close to moving to Vietnam to coach. Better pay there as strange as that may seem. But you can still come and look around at varous sports clubs. You might get lucky. Who knows.
