I'm just guessing, the two-hour notion is connected to their other idea of limiting the number of people allowed inside at any one time (in order to hopefully maintain social distancing).

 

If they don't set a time limit, then the Thais and others are going to do their regular routine of going and spending all day at the local mall or shopping center, enjoying the air con, hanging around the food courts, etc etc... Making a day of it, as it were.

 

If you're going to limit the number of people allowed inside at any one time, you can't also be allowing people to come and spend the day hanging about.

As usual the measures are to control social distancing. This BS is continually brandished by the Govt. They have ZERO control on social distancing. The PM & his DPM's should visit their local markets (naturally they wouldn't know where to find them, their serfs would have to show them where they are), then they can see first hard how it's working, NOT. After that, visit a downtown skytrain station. Waste of time in lawless Thailand. Usual lip service for the media portraying that you are in control, NOT.

i was in makro today and it was like any other day before the virus except people had masks on. rubbing shoulder to shoulder bumping into each other etc.

Been watching a discussion on television today where a doctor was saying there is absolutely no scientific evidence to support the 2m rule. It came about because the WHO suggested one metre as a precaution in case of droplets from a persons mouth. 

The whole world decided to double it to be extra safe........now it’s stuck.

The WHO have hardly shined in this crisis and the advice about being too close is not always possible. I think we all need to accept the risk that we can come into contact with infected people whether covid-19, flu or the common cold.

Fine with me. We're headed in the right direction. A month ago nothing in the malls but takeaway, no liquor anywhere, no parks, no nothing.

 

Now we've gone from 0 to 20. My guess is by June all restriction will be off bar social distancing and even that July at most.

I don't trust any governments with track and trace apps, so I won't be downloading one of them. India are starting to use the app to track so called dissident students, all very Chinese style monitoring.

These are probably the same people who don't touch door handles when entering and leaving a mall/bar toilet. Sometimes I don't bother washing my hands if I see these people in the mall/bar toilet as I know it disgusts them 555.
