The worst numbers are a 0.01% death rate, not very scary I'm afraid.

If I knew five people who had caught and died from it, I might be a little scared ....... but none so far.

Falling in the shower much more scary, I know two people who have done that and died in Chiang Mai.

And for the billionth time, a significant amount of those deaths are due to some Democrat states direct mismanagement and executive orders in the early stages of the pandemic, killing thousands of elderly Americans in nursing homes. How that is not a scandal to anyone on here is beyond me.”

FACTS , please, FACTS!  This is just an assertion. Of course everything was much better handled in redneck states, right? Numbers, please, numbers.

Trump, who has been pushing for the U.S. economy to reopen quickly, dismissed Bright as a "disgruntled employee"

“...and Trump knows disgruntled employees when he sees one—he’s married three of them.”*

*heard that somewhere.

How about telling the people the truth?

How about looking at reality and trying to make the best out of a bad situation?

I think few people expect from politicians to do everything right. But people expect that they do their best. And people expect that they admit when they made mistakes and then do their best to solve the problem.

Now Trump and his fox channel talk all the time about Obamagate - whatever that's supposed to be. Why don't they concentrate on the biggest problem in American history for the last 100 years or so?

You guys don't like it when it is your turn to get screwed do ya?

Thinking to it, a long-lasting epidemic situation is likely to accelerate automation. Machines and robots don't stop working when they are sick, they don't need expensive distancing, they don't propagate viruses in the air, and can be easily cleaned with disinfectants as Trump suggests.

There will be just a small problem: one cannot replace broke customers with affluent robots.

Yes, and robots don't pay payroll or SS taxes either.

Did you ever consider that good government is not about who is screwing whom?

It seems the most important part for some people is to screw "the enemy", whoever that is at that time. And that includes the enemy in the own country who has a different political opinion.

You are part of the problem and not the solution!

And for the billionth time you are not willing (or able) to see what you are saying.

If something goes right you credit Trump,if something goes wrong you blame the people you hate.

Who runs your country?(or who is supposed to run your country?)

Kudos to Mr. Bright for telling it like it is, against the will of an AUA (alternate universe administration), which denies truth, fact, science, the will of the people, and reality, every opportunity it gets. Trump and his band of creeps need to be outed every chance we get. The people of the US, and the world need to know what they are dealing with. And what are the ramification of this staggering level of denial? The US used to be admired as a beacon to the rest of the world. Now, they are looked on with sadness and pity. How far the nation has descended.

Across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, views of the US handling of the coronavirus crisis are uniformly negative and range from horror through derision to sympathy. Donald Trump’s musings from the White House briefing room, particularly his thoughts on injecting disinfectant, have drawn the attention of the planet. A poll in France last week found Merkel to be far and away the most trusted world leader. Just 2% had confidence Trump was leading the world in the right direction. Only Boris Johnson and Xi Jinping inspired less faith.

“Governments every where faltered and failed.”

That’s not correct, and the Government in question is that of the US under President Trump.

In a whistleblower complaint filed with a government watchdog last week, Bright said that he warned about the virus in January and was met with hostility from HHS leaders.”

Pop goes the ‘we were not warned’ argument.

February 24, 2020 - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi walked through San Francisco’s Chinatown District Monday, attempting to quell fears about the current outbreak of the coronavirus that has kept customers out of shops and restaurants and tourists away from the streets.
