British police arrest 19 at London protest against social distancing

Still in the eu bound by their rules aren,t we?

Yes; until 31/12.20.

But this isn't a matter for the EU, it is a matter for individual members to deal with as they see fit.

We don't even have the same rules and regulations in the four countries of this United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland!

Having said that, the 27 governments have agreed a common response to the virus. We were invited to join in, but the government either declined or didn't get the memo, depending on who you believe.

As you well know from Thai Visa, that is irrelevant  -  it seems many posters are either above the law or choose the laws that they abide by, and those that they don't.

Piers Corbyn was interviewed on Talkradio this afternoon. Posting a link is a waste of time so here's what they're saying about it  instead:

See YT or their twitter feed for the full interview & to read the comments afterwards.

Piers Corbyn isn't a "leftie". He's a lifelong leading light in the tinfoil hat brigade,

he isn't even a member of the Labour Party. One of the original climate change deniers who received tacit support from M. Thatcher. He currently leads the anti vaxers.

No surprise at all that he's a Covid-19 denier. Even the government admits that deaths from Covid-19 are seriously under reported not over reported.

He further suggested that if the lockdown was ended, the destruction of many small and medium business could be avoided.

Do you really think a "leftie" would make a comment like that, putting business before peoples lives?

The comments about Bill Gates are complete nonsense perpetrated by anti vaxers, of which he is a vocal member.

What must be extremely difficult for your poor Daughter is how to feel about the millions of young British Boys and Men who not just risked but gave their lives to protect Freedoms, Liberties and the Constitution.  Freedoms and Liberties such as the right to protest.

So does that include people giving up their lives to Covid-19? Or is it a noble thing that the government do to introduce temporary emergency laws to combat Covid-19?

The world is fighting a war against Covid-19 and its every good citizens duty to join the fight. Something these protesters spectacularly failed to understand.

Mr Corbyn does come over as a bit of a fruitcake, but his scepticism about the the current pandemic and Bill Gates are justified. Do the research, or PM me and I'll provide some helpful links.

I've done the research thanks. The only links that you could possibly provide me as to a Covid "hoax" or Bill Gates the devil incarnate, would be links to conspiracy theorists. Thanks but no thanks.

Now that's what I CALL a closed mind.

Well said.

Many of these protesters must have traveled to the park by bus.

So far 33 bus drivers have been killed by CV 19. Just doing a job so that crack pots like these can go to a demo and wave banners about.

And bus drivers are separated from the passengers by a perspex screen. When they realised the danger the drivers were in the seats near the driver and the front doors of the vehicle were taped off.

There is nothing to stop bus drivers from pretending to be ill and taking sick leave but they soldier on because they don't want to put their friends and colleagues at extra risk by having to do additional shifts.

It's nauseating to see that some creep thinks it funny that 33 British bus drivers had been fatal victims of this Covid 19.

Thanks. I did not want to cause anyone any embarrassment.

You've saved me the effort.

Another NHS bobsleigh team clip has surfaced on tik tok, this time set to the tune of Titanic & featuring twelve NHS employees on a hospital bed towing two more on a computer chair and a push bike.

Here's a screenshot from the front of the Titanic & yet again there isn't a patient in sight...

I have no idea when it was filmed or the circumstances but it makes a mockery of UK's alledged predicament & HMG's attempts to put things right. Why are so many hospitals empty and what has become of their (normal/routine) patients?

Correct, you have no idea when it was filmed or the circumstances, so why claim that it makes a mockery of the UK's "attempt" to put things right?

Due to the workload of the staff, all elective surgery is on hold and the wards that deal with that normally, have been temporarily mothballed.

...therefore potentially damaging very expensive taxpayers property or injuring themselves in the process is perfectly ok? I don't think so.

Weren't you up in arms a couple of years ago when Paratroopers filmed themselves similarly misbehaving on a rifle range by shooting at targets of Jeremy Corbyn?

Let me guess "but that's different!"....?

The selective hypocrisy in these threads of late beggars belief.

What damage?

I've no idea what you're rambling on about, I'm far from a fan of Corbyn. I'd have been happy if they'd used the live target.

@evadgib,

Many wards are empty because most of those admitted  for Covid 19 are in intensive care units, or wards converted to care for Covid 19 patients. See Novel coronavirus (COVID19) standard operating procedure Design note: COVID-19 ward for intubated patients

General wards which haven't been converted are empty because people awaiting routine operations and non emergency treatment have had their treatment postponed. This is because the doctors and nurses who would normally care for them have been seconded to the ICUs and converted wards. Coronavirus: NHS England to cancel all non-urgent surgery to free up 30,000 beds

Hospitals are now preparing to admit other non emergency patients: NHS roadmap to safely bring back routine operations during COVID-19

All this is well known to us here in the UK; but, like so much else which happens in the UK, you have obviously missed it sitting on your self-satisfied perch in Thailand.

I asked you before if you are implying that nurses and other NHS staff are neglecting their patients in order to make these videos. As expected, no answer from you.

There's little love lost between Jeremy Corbyn and Tommy Atkins.

If JC had had his way they'd all be collecting their P45s and queuing up outside the Job Centre. He also got rather chummy with the leaders of Hamas and the IRA.

During and since the Cold War Michael Foot and Lord Longford  were among other left wing liberals who wanted the armed forces reduced.

The modern Labour Party is no friend of the British serviceman. Nor the average British working man.
