The Lottery is running again

Featured Replies

The much delayed 1 April drawing happened on 16 May and, no surprise, I didn't win a thing.

If you still have tickets, you can check your numbers here: https://www.glo.or.th/home-page

The next draw, where I'm sure I'll win at least as much as I did on the last draw, will be on 1 June. It seems that, barring any virus outbreaks, that the Lottery is back to normal operations from here on.

So what happens to all the tickets they sold before 1st April ie. 16th march or has the 1st April now turned into 16th May ?

Yes.

Won 2000 baht which I will spend unwisely.

Any tickets sold between 17 March and 1 April would have been for the 1 April draw, which was held on 16 May.
(Tickets sold for the 16 March draw weren't affected as that draw happened normally.)

All of the draws after 1 April were cancelled, up to and including 16 May, and no tickets sold (to consumers) for any of them. (You can't buy tickets for the next draw until after the current one is complete. So you will start being able to buy tickets soon for the 30 May draw, but you can't buy any for the (16 ?) June draw.

Note: "Authorized Vendors" can place orders for the next set of tickets in advance. However, those tickets won't be printed and distributed until after the current draw.
The people wandering around (or sitting around) selling tickets are not "Authorized Vendors", they are "re-sellers". They get their tickets from the Authorized Vendors which is why you usually don't see tickets for the next draw on the streets until a week or so before the draw date. (7-10 days or thereabouts it seems.)
