Thailand’s National Security Council will ask Cabinet to extend the current emergency decree for one more month.

According to Thai Rath, National Security Council secretary general Gen Somsak Rungsita said the emergency decree should remain in place until June 31 due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Extending the emergency decree would help to prevent a possible second wave of COVID-19 infections.

The recommendation will be sent to the Cabinet and the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration for consideration.

The current emergency decree is set to expire on May 31.

The numbers are minimal. All extending it would do is give the clown at the helm the power and control to do whatever he wants with the people of Thailand and it's guests.

For one more month then one more month etc. etc.
The situation could easily be handled  by the Communicable Diseases Act 2015 but of course that doesn't give him as much power as SOE.

Please please Mr. P., do us a favor and extend emergency.

Ok, how can I deny.

By all means keep a state of emergency, but attach some logic to it. Places selling alcohol are closed, but those selling coffee can open. Restaurants in office blocks open, those on the street closed.
What is the rationale behind this ? Oh, I forgot, we are in Thailand, I withdraw my questions.

Which of the emergency decrees? I know there have been a series of emergency decrees, I just don't know which one we're operating under. The one of 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. or the one of no gatherings or which?

Schools open July 1st..Thai Airways resume July 1st (if they're still about) So it looks like they may do this nonsense to July 31st.

I was fed up and very bored with this country before the world stopped, I'm borderline suicidal now.

of what year 2021, or 2022, or ?  Just keep the kicks and punches coming, as the rest of the world is starting to re-open and others exploding with cases (like Brazil), That second wave has already started to roll, but no one wants to test anyone here unless they show up at a hospital.  Such a farce to not offer up a free test and do it randomly throughout the country.....

The five stages of farang:

1.  OK, I'll wear a mask

2.  OK, I'll be in my room from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. every night

3.  OK, I'll never get near anyone and you can blame me for covid

4.  OMG, is this the Twilight Zone?

5.  WT.., is this a joke to you?

probably 69,000,000/70,000,000 will be severely financially affected if this goes another month.  I just have a feeling someone wants to tell me, "dude, if you knew what I know, you would close the borders for the year."

as they say in the show CSI......there's more to this than we know.

"what’s your problem? "

What an insensitive question. People are desperate for food and suicidal.

Try to think about others before you have your 'peaceful' snooze.

Sorry Ventenio - we posted at the same time.

Yes people need to work

Do you not understand that if people don't work they get no money

Then they can't eat or pay rent

What sort of bubble do you live in?

Chinese flu affects mainly old people with underlying issues and also obese people with underlying issues

The rest should be able to get back to work asap

As soon as the emergency decree is lifted the students will resume their budding revolt. Things started heating up just before the virus hit and the dinos know that as soon as they lift the restrictions the feces will hit the fan again.
