Yes it is going to happen, on Friday it did pass the Cannabis Counsel. But in order to grow, one must get a perment from a cannabis license Doctor.... And this will be for Thai's only!

Rigth now most Docters are charging 500 baht for the exams and 500-1000 baht for the perment, and this may be a yearly thing or not? But if you wish to grow, you will have to register with the police dept.

It now has to go to the FDA and one more step after that, so give it time to work it self out. Now there are some great business opportunities coming out of this, and this is for all the people who do not know

how to grow cannabis. Think about were are they going to buy all the equipment to grow, or who is going to help them grow? Growing classes, Books in Thai on growing, Seeds, and so on and so on!

And all the Thai who live in the city who do not have time or the room to grow cannabis... Co-Op?

 

And yes there are many downsides to this also, Doctors in Thailand who do not understand the cannabis plant at all. Do they tell the patient to grow hemp or cannabis to help them with there medical problems.

Is the patient going to take oil or smoke flower, and how much can the patient take... and what strain should they grow? There are so many safety issues to address with Doctors and Patients, remember all

hemp/medical cannabis plant are not created equal. The Thai's need to be trained by the right people!

 

Now here is a photo from a license Thai grow from Lamphun, Thailand. Now this grow was growen the right way and was the best grow of cannabis in Thailand so far, all because they used a Master Grower

from America that had skill and knowledge as a master grower. (Now this is Not a photo from a illegal grow, this is a legal Thai grow. Because Hemp/Cannabis is now legal in Thailand with a license)

I don't know about importing at the moment because of the Covid situation but Alibaba has a far better selection of lights and tents. I would recommend having a look at the kingbrite quantum boards or bars with samsung drivers and full light spectrum with uvA uvB plus far reds. Try and avoid the epistar bulbs.

For me atleast, its far easier to control enviroment indoors. Pests, heat, humidity, nosey neighbs and light cycle. Any light leaks or inconsistencies with light cycle can cause male flowers to appear and you don't want that.

Thailand will never allow farang to smoke weed. It's too lucrative catching them out.

They didn't have a problem for the hundreds of years they grew some of the best buds before the U.S.A. paid the Thais to criminalize and demonize it.  Laos and Cambodia seem to do ok.

Nobody in their right mind uses autos.

The harvest is small, and you have to keep buying seed.

1 female plant, you can clone 1,000 times at zero extra cost.

The big boys use greenhouses and blinds/shutters to control the light.

Although Thais (and most of Asia) usually just grow outside after the monsoon, and let nature take it's course.

So a friend tells me.

Not weed, but we smoke legal cannabis oil everyday and can even buy it online !

Ohh, good. I'd have never considered it until I was officially given permission, to grow a natural plant, to be ingested at my own will. Good to know I'm allowed now, thanks be to those deciding for me. Guess I can finally get to it, now that I've been allowed. Never would've considered it until being given permission, by another person. Feels great to comply and I look forward to doing what I've always wanted, but didnt, because I hadn't received permission from someone else. ????????

Unless you're growing for seed, you shouldn't have any male plants.

I got that prescription for 200baht at clinic not to grow though

As a business opportunity you would be late to the party. There are endless Facebook pages selling tents, lights, fans, soil, nutrients and seeds.  All in Thailand and ready for delivery.

Not found anywhere selling dedicated nutrients (which is BS anyway), I'm under the impression cannabis aimed nutrients are banned from sale or import.

A few places selling wildly overpriced seeds, but most of the seedbanks will post to Thailand so why bother.

Thats not what I meant ... Alot of strains of Cannabis plants are prone to hermaphrodite, so female plants can develop male flowers.  One of the ways(not recommended) to get female seeds is let a female plant keep flowering past when they should be harvested and she will produce male flowers with feminized pollen. Light Leaks or stress can also cause hermies.

Im no expert of whats real, legal or other. You can search superbud in Facebook for what they claim to be nutrients as for seeds they look to be around 100-250 baht for various types. I assume it a one time purchase seems cheap to me
