We bought some of these avocadoes a few days ago. First of the season here in Chiangmai and very delicious. Still completely green when ripe. Can anyone tell what variety it is just by looking at it?

Yes, it was in fact a Puean Meaung. And as you note, they are delicious. I do wonder if they have an English name or a scientific one.
