Popular Post Emdog
I grew up with & was friends with real life terrorist. She was better friend with my sis, as they were 2 years older than me (that matters when you're a kid). My brother may have dated her in High School (he was 3 yrs older than me & bit of a skirt chaser). She was born Julienne Eden Schultz FWIW. She was homecoming queen her senior year, again FWIW Married and took hubbies name Julienne Bušić, they were involved in Croation liberation front (parodied by SNL as "Crustacean Front"). In 1976 they put a bomb in Grand Central Station, which killed 2 cops trying to dismantle it. Also hijacked a TWA flight, finally landed in Iceland and her and others being arrested and convicted of air piracy leading to death. I remember when this was going down and thinking "Julie? Julie? Really? Huh." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julienne_Bušić 3

khunjeff
I went to high school with Michelle Robinson, who became Michelle Obama after marriage. Spent 7 years of devoted studying at night school for my degree equivalent qualification. I was looking forward to progression up the management ladder over the next 40 years and the rewards and stability that came with it. Maggie destroyed that dream a year later. Thank you Maggie, saved me from the next 40 years in a filthy, dangerous and to be quite honest , boring environment.
Hanuman2547
Marc Wilson, NFL QB with the Oakland Raiders/LA Raiders and also Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. He won two Super Bowls. Lived in the same town. I went to school with his younger brother Shea. Shea was a very good athlete but didn't like being compared to his older brother so didn't really pursue sports that much.

I taught at Harrow International School in Bangkok and we named one of our houses after Byron. Others were Nehru and Churchill for similar reasons. 13 children of Rama V went there too and I have a great painting of them in my condo. I made a trip to the Hill in 2008 and had a memorable day there including booze for lunch! We had many exchange students in Bangkok from Harrow in London including a right nitwit called Cadbury who said daddy was in chocolate. David Bowie grew up near me and Marc Bolan of T Rex fame was expelled from my school. In my first job in journalism I sat next to Stephen Dillane who I saw in The Crown recently in a memorable scene with John Lithgow. Popular Post ratcatcher
I had the misfortune to take a beating in my first year at Acton County Grammar School, from a thug in the form above me called Roger Daltrey who maintained his reputation with his fists. Popular Post b17
Back in the late 80's, I taught two of Ne Win's grandsons, U Aye Ne Win & U Kyaw Ne Win while working at an international school in Singapore. At term break, their mum invited all the teachers for a free trip around Myanmar, but we passed, as one of our friend's dad had been murdered in Yangon's infamous Insein prison. The two boys were later accused of launching a coup against the Burmese regime, and sentenced to death. Happily for them, the sentence was commuted, and now they're both free, or at least I think so.
