PM says he won’t get involved in ruling Palang Pracharat internal politics

 

Thailand Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha answers questions during an open session at the parliament house in Bangkok, Thailand, Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The parliament session Wednesday is the first since Thailand enforced coronavirus restrictions, and it was considered a special session to discuss the government’s plan to fund stimulus packages for businesses and industries impacted by the pandemic.

 

Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has distanced himself from the latest internal strife within the ruling Palang Pracharat party, as 18 members of the executive committee resign en masse to pave the way for the election of the new executive committee, party leader and secretary-general.

 

Repeatedly asked by reporters about speculation that the resignations were intended to replace party leader Finance Minister Uttama Savanayana with Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, who is also the party’s chief strategist, the Prime Minister refused to comment, noting that it is an internal affair and quite normal for every political party.

 

He said that he does not want to make excuses, adding that he will not get involved in internal party politics, unless it concerns the Government or the coalition’s stability.

We can only hope the house of cards come tumbling down, and Thailand has a chance to rescue itself from it's military duldrums.  

Good answer from Khun Prayut Chan O Cha, obviously he won't be drawn in to their internal squabbling.

They already have a next in line, things will remain the same. Watch this space! Time is on their side!

Since he won't be spending time on this issue perhapse he can help finding the Red Bull heir.

Well someone at the top should. Prawit, who is second in command on paper and is also the PPRP’s chief strategist, has said he he doesn’t know what is going on. If he doesn’t know, who does?
 

Maybe the leaders, who like to puff out their chests and order others around like they’re in the army, could maybe do their jobs and show some leadership.

Always the loophole.

He says he has nothing to do with this yet "ole fatty" is tipped to become the new party leader.

Nothing to do above board openly in the public light, but certainly off the grid behind the scenes looks like some hard strings must be being pushed and pulled as perhaps ultimatums. I will make you an offer you can't refuse! Just more and more is showing the ultimate plan having the military take full control like before taking out all and everyone in the way. Prawit was never ever supposed to be part of this government, but look at him now. Military Elite will never walk away from the trough and relinquish control. Sad state of affairs.

He is a coward and lacks any sort of leadership skills, so he will stay far away from debate, as an entitled person, it is not withing his abilities.  

Why do i not believe him ?

Of course he won't, be he will certainly make sure one of his close associates takes over the party. It seems that the person has already been chosen and will certainly be able to boost his watch collection soon.

Dont worry th Pm has his sights living abroad Maybe a nice house in Switzerland or Germany? The bank accounts are full It wont be long and bye Thailand Europe here I come. Then up will step another general to take his place Its not that Thailand is short on generals are they?
