So white people were blamed because they were good at it.. makes sense!

The slave trade is rife throughout Asia. Where’s the protests for the slaves on the fishing boats? What about the sex trade? Housekeepers? Factory workers?

It was the French and English who outlawed slavery .

The British Royal Navy physically stopped slave ships in the seas .

Many Europeans were enslaved as well

Interesting. The protest could morph into something that could worry the junta lot more than the welfare of black lives. Heck, maybe that's the goal all along. Hope it happens. (If you block out a bit at the bottom of the B guess which letter/color you get.)

According to official UN figures more people are living below the poverty line in the USA than any other Western country.

Yes, but if you're living below the poverty line in any Western country, you can still find food, shelter and medicine.

wasnt it Muslims who were the original slave traders who sold black people to the white buyers ,why not riots against them ?

Why not riots against them?

Perhaps because they've been dead for 300-400 years? I don't know, but that could be it.

Incidentally, very few people are rioting. The vast majority---save for a few clowns and a few far right white supremacists pretending to be Antifa---are exercising the right to peaceful assembly granted by the First Amendment of the US Constitution. So important did Jefferson and Madison believe this was that they put it in the very first paragraph of the US' founding document.

That the current WH resident finds that right threatening to him is in itself an indictment of his lack of understanding of the founding principles of the country. That is why true patriots and educated people---like Gens Mattis, McCrystal, and McCaffrey, Lt Gen Lute, and Adms Stavridis, Mullen and McRaven have spoken out against the actions of 45 in the last few days. Even Gen Milley felt it necessary to issue a memo to all service personnel reminding them that their oath is to the Constitution and not to any individual. The institutions are holding against the cancer trying to eat away at the fabric of the Republic.

No. You're 100 percent wrong. This movement existed way before 45 was elected. An African American president didn't even begin to solve the original American sin of systemic racism against black people. There is no quick fix but the breadth and visibility of this current manifestation is encouraging that action may actually begin to happen.

LOL. You can't say his name? Obama, an African American DEMOCRATIC president, number 44, couldn't do jack for the blacks in 8 years. That has to be the height of Democrat failure. No wonder you're shy to use his name.

In Thailand the saying should be Nigerians that hang out on the street conners on Sukhumvit lives matter...

I don't think lives of any colour matter much in Thailand, unless they are bolstered by a fat wallet.

If Black lives matter so much to the current coalition, who are staging protests as well as looting and destroying cities throughout the US, then why are they never complaining that more Black men's Lives are being actually taken at the hands of other Black men, while many many fewer have died at the hands of Law Enforcement.  Once again, I do agree that treatment of all ethnic minorities, and this includes every race, creed or color, is a major concern.  Deadly force should never be used when the situation is under control, and those who perpetrate it should be prosecuted.  The people who believe it is only Blacks who have been disenfranchised in America and the rest of the world are not looking inward as they should, and then they are not looking at the global picture.....

As a Farang I would be keeping well away from any public gathering, is it not illegal anyway? Cant see Thai's really giving a flying F about BLM

I'm having a hard time understanding a discriminating race society like Thailand marching in protest for a black man who died on the other side of the world considering they call all black people chocolate man. Call a black guy in the states that and see what happens.....I'm sure its something they seen on their line news feed that looks cool so lets join along like clueless sheep's just like they think Pornhub tshirts are cool probably thinking is a new flavored ice cream.
