You don't have to be funded to attend a protest. You just go there, maybe by local bus, or train, which you personally pay for. If it is nearby then you walk, wave your flag, have a sandwich and a drink and go home. 

 

I think you have to try to get away from this idea (Prevalent in the US it appears) that people only do things for money. This may come to you as a bit of a shock, but many people in the world do things for nothing,  because for them it's a matter of principle.

You live in a nice bubble if you think this entire situation just happened, that these protestors aren't organized on some level and all this costs money. Protestors came from all walks of life mostly from the local area. Some people have taken time off work. This has been a spontaneous gathering of enraged citizens of police brutality on people of colours and recognized that the country is in danger and make the sacrifice to go away from families, friends and work for the better good of the country. You have desecrated their good intention.

It is this hidden support for Trump which is why he won in 2016, and why he will win again in November. Blacks like Carson aren't Black enough to satisfy the blm folks. Much like Condoleezza Rice who is another remarkable GOP but again, she is well educated, super smart....but again not Black enough.
