The Police Audit Commission and Yong Hua Steel Co. donated a new roof for the Banglamung Police Station parking lot after a storm ripped off the old one.

Commission Chairman Wiroj Amnuayyonwaree and Yong Hua executive Pairoj Prawatlertudom presented the new roof to Banglamung police chief Pol. Col. Pattanachai Pamornpiboon June 9.

The old roof was damaged in April, with parts of it falling on cars, damaging them as well. The new roofs over two lots are valued at 100,000 baht.

You'd think that with all the kickbacks and other forms of payments the police collect in Pattaya they would be be able to put a roof over all of Pattaya and not only the police station...

There's no one there; what's the roof for?  All the cops are out sticking up motorists.

And this is the abomination known as the RTP, and the administration that will do everything in it's power to protect them, and insure they remain above the law, while doing everything in it's power to underfund them, and insure that they continue to act as local franchisees in order to survive and prosper. Priorities?

Should leave the roof off; the rain might actually wake them up !

be sure he will be rewarded with some big project in the future

Yes,

But that would mean going into the budget designed for EMERGENCY EXPENSES such things as aircon, signs and roofs.

The truth be said that money has already been spent on other ' necessities ' that the police deem more worthy to their personal well-being, such as Johnny Walker black and meals out with the mia noi.

And the obsequious lot donating roofs and signs are just loading up their ' brownie points ' for the future.

Goodness me. Isn't this what Insurance or government funds is all about?

Donation is gratefully received, no doubt. Now, what can you we do for you? Turn a blind eye, once in a while?

No wonder not many here have faith in the police and those that police the police.
