The southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and Thailand has intensified while a low pressure cell covers Laos. More rain is forecast across the country with heavy to very heavy rains in some parts of the North, the Northeast, the East and the Southwest coast.

People in those risky areas have been cautioned about the risk of flash floods.

Tropical storm “Nuri” in the upper South China Sea is likely to make landfall over Guangdong China by Sunday (14 June).

Had some rain last night. Very welcome for the farm.

In 12 years I've only known one 'big rain'. That was about 6 years ago when we had 8 inches* in 10 hours. It flooded the nearby salt fields something terrible.

* approximately 200mm

We got about 1/4" of rain last night, 20 km west of Udon Thani, hopefully more in store as been little rain so far, least it has cooled things down a bit, was 38°c during the day!

Bring it. Still getting city water only on weekends here in southern Pattaya Darkside. Mabrachan still only 1% of capacity.

What will happen when the hoards of Chinese decend upon Pattaya again ?

All those Tourists, and no water to drink or have a shower with.

There are plenty of new roads for their Coaches to travel on though.

Infrastructure money well spent me thinks - Not
