When to do 90-day report after moving?

Featured Replies

Hi,

this is a general question, please ignore the current Covid-19 situation:

Let's say my next appointment for the 90-day report is on 1st July but I moved to another province on 1st June.
Notification for Housemaster for the new place has been done on June 1st.

Is my appointment for the 90-day report still the 1st of July or do I satrt to count again 90 days from my TM30 report aqt the new place?

thanks!

You 90 day report date does not change when you move to a new address.

Your report is still due on July 1st but you do not have to do it since they are not required until after July 31st.

Ubonjoe, do i need to report my TM30 via remotely as my current tenants are all still stucked in bangkok? Being a Foreign Owner of a Condo surely does have it's pros and more Cons..

No report is needed if they are not staying in your condo. When they return it may be due dependendent on the office you report to.

I see. But when a move does not mean a new 90-day report cycle, does that basically mean that I am going to confirm my old address at the 90-day reports? Immigration Logic?

Or do I need TM 47 again for doing the 90-day report for the first time in a new province? And that basically starts the new cycle with the new address.
(90 day report is in my understanding nothing else than confirming your address, this process is not thought trough. Can't find the logic in this process)

You report your change of address by submitting a TM27 or TM28 change of address form.

The primary purpose of the 90 day report is to inform them you are staying longer than 90 consecutive days in the country.

You will need to do your first report at the new office in person using a TM47 form so they have a record of you doing one.

You haven't said where you move to. At several immigration offices they just want the TM30 report to be done,no TM27 or TM28. It's up to the local immigration office.

thanks for the replies.

I moved to Samut Prakan and they handed the completed and singned TM 28 straight back to me. They were happy just with TM 30.
