PHUKET: Police are investigating a rape complaint filed against a construction foreman who worked in Sakoo, the area just south of Phuket International Airport, for allegedly repeatedly raping a 15-year-old girl by deciving her that he had romantic feelings for the girl.

Former hotel employee dies after motorbike slams power pole at high speed

PHUKET: A 55-year-old man died after the motorbike he was riding struck a power pole at high speed on Thepkrasattri Rd in Thalang last night (June 19). The man’s family told police that the man was likely riding his motorbike to relieve high stress he was suffering from unemployment. He was previously a hotel employee.

All aquatic products in Thailand safe, department assures after panic over virus outbreak in China

U-Tapao airport construction expected to begin in a year

Pattaya deputy mayors Banlue Kullvanij and Manot Nongyai, together with a group of citizens, drove around on motorbikes with sidecars to the upper and lower Nongyai communities recently where they went from door to door distributing a total of 200 bags of rice, dried food and eggs to the residents. The people in these communities have been hit hard by the effects of the coronavirus economic crash and were very happy to receive aid from the benevolent city fathers.

Dongtan beach benches in Jomtien are set up according to the new social distancing rules to contain the spread of the virus.

 

Dongtan beach in Jomtien is slowly coming alive after the beach lockdown was eased three weeks ago. Beach bench operators have set up their benches and tables one to one and a half meters apart to comply with the new social distancing rules.
