Global coronavirus deaths top half a million

Also, for a clearer perspective
Roughly 60,000 PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY globally as normal without any "new" virus.

And almost 5000 of those have died from Covid-19 over the past few months. You don't think that's significant?

No,
people die, and people are born
we cannot all live forever
again
During covid period, the global population has INCREASED by over 40 MILLION people.

Covid deaths
(which numbers are highly questionable, due to financial incentives provided to hospitals)
are in-line with CDC estimated annual flu & respiratory illness death estimates
(of which "non covid" cases have coincidentally been very low this year)

give it a few years raging through countries with substandard health care, that number will be a fraction of total deaths..

So, like the US then.  I mean for the 99% that can't afford it.

"covid" deaths
will be nothing in comparison to the damage caused by lockdowns.

"raging"........????

Lockdown you still get a second chance. Covid death you don't get any chance. Finito, kaput and gone for life.

How does a maskless driver infect anyone outside their vehicle?

Sorry, a tricky metaphor probably over the heads of readers who are pedantically challenged.

Most everything you said there was bogus. The global population increases all the time. Why is that relevant? Is it now our jobs to handle global population by selectively picking who dies? And who gets to pick that? Who will be the most affected by it? Hint: It won't be the people who are doing the picking...

People are born and people die. How profound! By that logic why punish mass shooters? Murderers? I mean come on people die, why should anyone care?

Covid deaths being highly questionable is also absurd. If you simply look at the number of excess deaths over the past few months, it's probably undercounted. Or do you have a better idea of what other mystery illness is killing people at a higher rate than usual?

That is a complete misconception
you do not die if you "get covid"
using your logic
the same applies for crossing a road
once you die, regardless of the cause, you do not get a 2nd chance, that is obvious

but as long as YOU are ok, everything is fine...........????‍♂️

Just using your own words ‘Covid deaths’. Losing your memory.

Here's a list of Covid-19: Top 15 Best Recovering Countries Worldwide.
https://www.iunera.com/kraken/big-data-science-apps/top-covid-19-recovery-countries-worldwide-covid-19-data-analyticstries-worldwide/

Can you imagine if we'd had real world leadership and cooperation, with countries getting together to tackle this virus along strict lockdown scientific lines this virus would by now today have been almost eradicated, as it has in some of the above countries.

Many of these countries now can enjoy worry free sports events, worship, entertainment venues, bars open. Life almost back to normal. The only thing their citizens cant do is travel to and from other countries still needlessly riddled with infections.

Trump could even have been looking forward to his next virus free rally, and the US economy kickstarted today not hamstrung until sometime next year if then. As it is I think some western countries are playing: Let's pretend it's all over, when in fact they have simply thrown in the towel. It's too late for many of them. It's herd immunity now for them with a little help from the Grim Reaper.

try doing some reading and using some common sense,
of course murderers should face consequences, who on earth said any different?
you're trying to use extreme ends of an argument that makes no sense.

and i agree
who decides who lives and who dies ?
nobody should especially when the cause is supposedly natural
sure give people help as much as you want,
but NOT at the expense of others livelihoods,
who prioritized who?
what makes some peoples lives more important than others?
(this is your logic, which i agree with btw)

As for thinking the count is not absurd,
maybe you don't read that much
hospitals were given money for every covid case they have,
this is 100% a financial incentive, that makes the count questionable
and that's before even going into "underlying conditions" and died "with" covid

my memory is just fine
you had no point and still don't
thanks for boring me

i could say "stepping on a lego brick, then falling and banging head deaths"
and it would make no difference if you used that in your reply.

Still less than 1% of annual global deaths in a NORMAL year. What's all the fuss about?

Give it another 6 months through the Northern winter and then we will look at the numbers

So there must be a global excess mortality rate of 500,000 compared to previous years. Otherwise, there is no pandemic.

Exactly,
but 500k is really an insignificant number when you look at the data
with population increasing each year by ~80 million people
with yearly population increase actually dropping each year in past 5 years
and still much lower than 1990.......????‍♂️

I'm not sure what you mean - the chart clearly identifies which of the diseases shown are communicable and non-communicable.

agreed, that it the argument pushed when deaths are compared
with that infographic
a good few of them are contagious so can be caught from others.

but even for those that are not contagious,
simple common sense tells us
that when we do compare numbers
obviously there needs to be an insanely amount more done to tackle other causes of death
that is, if governments actually do care about saving average Joe lives
so many simple things could be done to extend the average Joe longevity

Tell that to the people that kill themselves because of lockdown, tell that to the children with lives destroyed by lockdown.
