Popular Post Pilotman
5 am, and as usual can't sleep past this time. Computer on and waiting for first light. Dogs still sleeping, wife comatose and will be for another 2 hours or so. Nice time of the day, or would a lie in be nicer? I love it when the light starts and the sun makes an appearance, but it doesn't really make up for feeling knackered by 11 am. Anyone else have this issue or are you all still tucked up in bed with the air-con on high? Think I will make a coffee and wait for that sunrise.

Popular Post faraday
Normally wake up at 4 or so, lie there getting bored, & arise - (posh word eh?) at 4:30. I'd love to sleep longer, but just can't, even if I go to bed late. Drink some coffee, then take 'my son' out for his walk.
Popular Post Crossy
Yeah, we're usually functional at about 4.30 even on the weekends. Weekdays head to the office at 5.45 to miss the traffic. 2

Same old same old. Just catching up on the news from the West. They are still all a bunch of panicking lunatics, so nothing has changed there over night. Baht down (up?) to 37.8 to the £, so not a good start. Edited June 29, 2020 by Pilotman 2
Popular Post simon43
I get up at 4.45am every day, go for a 4Km jog around the town, start my online teaching at 7am, usually have a catnap in the middle of the day, finish teaching by 9pm, (but I have a break from about 11am-3pm). Easy life ???? Forgot to mention my early morning snack of fresh ginger tea and a banana! Edited June 29, 2020 by simon43 7 1

Popular Post stephenterry
Yeah, I'm awake at 5am after 7 hours sleep, only interrupted by nocturnal pee-pee once or twice. I swig a glass of water and take the dogs out for a brisk 40 minute walk around the moo baan when the sun is rising to get my daily Vit D3 intake. After a final home exercising routine, I drink green tea fortified with iodised salt, cinnamon, ginger, apple cider vinegar, and a teaspoon of honey or molasses, which earns me a gold star in beneficial nutrition intake - so I understand. As for coffee - caffeine prohibited. Then hit my computer to catch up on events, and to select my forex trades for the day... Good morning folks - stay safe.
Popular Post pgrahmm
Usually 5:30-6:15.....Listen to the birds & the day unfolding ....Check online to see what's new.....Enjoy my wife sleeping - once up, she's busy.....Put food out for the cats..... Not a coffee drinker, but start with acv, lemon, & warm water - supposed to be healthy and tastes like it better be.... Right now, pinned down by my cuddling wife in a little negligee - a very good place to be....I'll wait around for awhile.... Actually, I don´t see it as a problem. Usually up between 03.00 and 05.00 every morning with few exceptions. Like it! It´s lovely and quiet. Get much done during that time. ????

Tarteso
Here the same, 5’30 wake up every days like a chicken, living in a quiet place, a cup of covfefe, monks with the Gong, birds, news from the world. A good nap after lunch, complete the 8 hours in the Morpheus’s arms and hidden in the hot hours.
Mutt Daeng
I normally wake just before 4am. Still dark at the moment, so wait until around 4.45am to get up. About 5:10am I take my very energetic dogs(2) out for a brisk 45-50 minute walk. Then return home and feed them. Then I water the young/vulnerable plants/trees in the garden. Next its breakfast time for me at around 6.30am. Then I check TVF and scan the BBC News website. Best part of the day IMHO Edited June 30, 2020 by Mutt Daeng

OneMoreFarang
I like daylight. Most days I wake up about 6am, sometimes earlier and sometimes later. If I wake up maybe 5:30 and the first light is already visible then I stay up and I am not sleepy anymore. If I wake up at 5 and it's dark I turn around and sleep a little longer. And that happens even if I am out late a night - which does not happen too often anymore. I still wake up at the same time but later sleep again for an hour or two.

SteveK
I woke up early too, had the choice of doing the washing up or going for a bike ride. Easy choice.
Popular Post Denim
I can remember a time during Pattayas' halcyon years that 5.00 am was my bed time and wouldn't get out of bed until gone 12.00 unless my nightly companion wanted to be let out. Now ........... awake at 6.00 am up and about at 8.00 am

Arriving in time for a leisurely breakfast and coffee with the news is the best part of the working day. If I take just an extra 1/2 hour in bed then the difference is massive. Weekends, im up around 6 and love the peace and quiet before the family start appearing, zombie like, shattering the peace. If iam out the door by 5.45 Iam at work by 6.45, If I leave home at 6.15 Iam lucky to make the 8.00 start time. Nice hot coffee and answer some work email in the peace and quiet suits me just fine..... plus the early start allows me to sneak early on Friday to beat the traffic and get home whilst it is still daylight !!

In the Netherlands weed = much better sleep then alcohol. I now found dream juice from Belgium gives me a good sleep too (legal) But i wake up around 5-6 but fall asleep again. Before I had problems with insomnia woke up every 2 hours hated it. Now for some reason that has changed and i can sleep semi normal waking up just a few times. But then if you stop smoking for a few days you start having and remembering the most vivid dreams possible. This effect goes away after a while , whether you score or not. Spent many happy hours in Amsterdam many years ago. Nice city and the people speak better English than the English.
