More bad mouthing of Trump! Should I be surprised by the posters here! Why don't you man up and tell us what country you are from before bad mouthing the President of the greatest country and most powerful country in the world, so many of us can bad mouth your PM, President or dictator! Because I know President Trump is smarter and better than all of yours put together!

My country? You mean the one I served? You mean the one for which some of my friends and colleagues paid the ultimate price?

The United States of America.

By the way, we have an amendment to our Constitution---not so surprisingly the 1st one---that guarantees us the right of free speech. Not on this forum, perhaps, but in any public way we are free to criticize even the temporary POTUS.

He has absolutely no chance of winning and you know that! We Independents will make sure of it November 3 rd.

As much as I hope you are right, don't take anything for granted.

Trump seems be a Svengali figure for his base

I'm not American, no great interest in US politics.  But I'd bet $10 that Trump will win the next election hands down!  I think that there is a huge silent majority who will vote for him in November....

There wasn't any such majority, huge, silent or otherwise, the first time around. What makes you think that things will be different come November?

One word BIDEN

How bout raising a few statues to the taliban?

Why not a Mount Rushmore 2...with, in order of appearance:

Democrat would be president Joe Biden sleeping in his basement

Republican greatest president Donald Trump holding a bible

Global peacemaker and Jared Kushner emailing his buddy benevolent prince MBS

Taliban leader Mullah Omar on his motorcycle giving the finger to the three others

There wasn't any such majority,

Hard to imagine someone voting for Trump if they didn't the first time. The Democrats will lose some voters on the left, who despise Joe Biden - for some very good reasons. On the other hand, he will appeal to quite a few disenchanted Republicans, who now despise Donald Trump - for some very good reasons.

I'll remind you that Trump didn't get any of that huge, silent or any majority against Clinton. Is Biden less popular than Clinton? Is Trump the President more popular than Trump the candidate?

"Make no mistake, this left wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the American revolution," Trump said.

I think you'll find, Mr president, that it was the Confederate generals depicted by the statues being torn down, and in the names of army bases that so many want changed (but you don't), who actually started, and fought for, a movement designed to overthrow the American revolution.

In 2016 Trump's win wasn't expected either, what makes you think Nov. will be any different?  ????

And the depressing thing is, it seems like if you could build an opposition leader from scratch that is capable of losing the election, it would be Biden.

I'm not nearly as complacent as some. A whole lot can happen between now and then. He might surprise. The other side might drop the ball. And winning the USA elections doesn't depend on getting the majority of the votes.

I was just questioning what the huge, silent majority assertion was based about.

Same as in the Taliban destroyed their own history. Half these cretins would know sweet FA about the people whose statues they are pulling down, it's just mindless mob mentality.

Except for "it's just mindless mob mentality" I thought your response an intelligent one that needed consideration. I agree that the greater numbers will not know or consider the full impact of these historical figures but I believe their frustration and anger at being considered less than human for generations will lessen any other values other than these figures being symbols of an ongoing daily oppression that I for one and I would guess you as well would not accept in any way, shape or form if foisted upon ourselves. I do believe that these statues should be relegated to museums where they can be offered with full explanations of their historical "values" where all can appreciate or disdain those values. But, "mindless" is not a word I can or will use to describe a major faction of people whose basic value as humans is not respected in the same way as yours or mine.

Respectfully,I think you might be just a little mistaken!Let me help you!

What my country has seen recently is peaceful protests turn into mob rule!

Mr. Trump must expose the organizations and people who support the cancel culture, that has feasted long before he came to office !

Oh do give it a rest, especially when you are saying that "what my country has seen recently is peaceful protests turn into mob rule", this because such things have been ongoing for many decades in the USA.

Peaceful protests have turned violent, the police have been responsible for unnecessary beatings and deaths, statues have been defaced, and one particular demonstration which I found to be absolutely disgusting, was where white people were screaming, hissing and spitting at a black person because they were being escorted to a white school.

This has been endemic within the USA for decades/centuries, as I said, and sadly demonstrations there and around the world have turned violent, or have been hijacked by an unruly element, or even paid unruly elements, so this is just history repeating itself.

Unfortunately it has gained momentum because of the unlawful killing of black folk of late, and the grievances that these people have against law enforcement officers that have brutalised them for decades has become something much bigger, now it is a need to be able to respect blacks, and this has mushroomed into something that encompasses their grievances from the past until today.

Mob rule has been around forever and the problem here is that trump and his divisive rhetoric is just stoking the fires, so a divisive president is getting exactly what he wants.

This is not a "left-wing cultural revolution" but a bringing to the fore of grievances that have been unanswered and unsettled.

Trump will likely destroy Biden in Tv debates, should be entertaining

It wasn't even ground hog day.

Being locked up in the basement certainly didn't increase his mental acuity, though.

A vote against Trump seems to be a vote for lawlessness and mob rule. Like the Animal Farm story playing out.

'Donald Trump Is Now 'America's Number One Traitor,' Says Veterans Group'

"Donald Trump has taken over from Benedict Arnold as “America’s number one traitor,” according to a group of veterans seeking to vote the president out of office this November.

“No one has betrayed those in uniform like Donald Trump,” said the voiceover in the latest ad released by the VoteVets organization on Friday."

45 will bend over backwards to protect statues of dead Confederate traitors, but couldn't care less about protecting live American troops who volunteer to go into harm's way on behalf of the nation.

His absolute inaction and total lack of concern about Bountygate has lost whatever support he might have had still in the rank and file of the enlisted. He lost the Officer Corps and the Joint Chiefs, plus retired 4-stars, long ago. Rather than having their backs as a real Commander-in-Chief would have, he's stuck a knife in our troops' backs. That has not gone unnoticed. He's erased the DEV in DEVGRU and gone with just GRU (Unit 29155).

Of course he probably still has his Never Served Tacticool Mall Ninjas.

As for his "speech", he even bored his base with his comatose delivery of racist Stephen Miller's usual pabulum, though he did let us know the word 'totalitarian' seems now to have 27 syllables.

And you believe this CNN garbage.
