Aunty who can't drive changes her tune: Now she blames her grandson!

5pm.jpg

A Thai woman driver who claimed a man went into the back of her vehicle went to the Udom Suk, Bangkok, police to file a report.

But when the police showed her clear CCTV evidence of her going into HIM she abruptly changed her tune.

She said that her understanding of the situation was clearly a misunderstanding. That was plain to see.

It was her grandson who was to blame, she said.

He apparently, just at that moment, chose to put the vehicle in reverse.

It had nothing to do with her driving skills.

The vehicle apparently had a red plate indicating she may have been a novice driver.

Police patiently listened to her explanations of the truth before charging her with negligent driving and not having a licence.

Couldn't be further from the truth. A red number plate is for a new car, NOT a novice driver.

Not so far fetched....  If you see an idiot driver with red plates, there's a good chance it's a new driver.  That's why it says "she may have been a novice driver".  Dozens of times in BKK, I've had taxi drivers shake their head when we got behind an idiot, pointed at the red plates, and said something about a new driver.  Especially when the gub'ment was handing out cash to first time car buyers.

It's an assumption that they never owned a car before since she has a new car (red plate).

it's pure laziness just cutting and pasting any old article and not spending any time to actually read what is being posted. it happens all the time.

You can buy what you like, any country will sell you a car.. no licence needed.

The licence only allows you to take it out on the road [legally]
