Prayut Chan-o-cha

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Tuesday (July 21) that he will only have capable people fill the vacant ministerial posts. He made this announcement after attending the weekly Cabinet meeting.

Refusing to elaborate, Prayut only said a search will be launched for potential new candidates for the posts as soon as possible. He also said the new ministers must be qualified, adding that people can make suggestions, but the new Cabinet line-up will only be finalised by him. The premier also insisted that he has no political conflicts with other ministers.

Over the past two weeks, seven key ministers in his government have resigned. The latest was Labour Minister Chatumongol Sonakul.

He confirmed with Nation TV reporters via telephone on Monday evening that he has had his team submit his resignation letter.

Earlier on Monday, Chart Pattana Party leader Tewan Liptapanlop also stepped down from his post as Prime Minister’s Office minister, saying he had quit so the “prime minister can reshuffle the Cabinet freely and without any worries”.

On July 16, deputy prime minister Somkid Jatusripitak, finance minister Uttama Savanayana, energy minister Sontirat Sontijirawong, minister of higher education, science, research and innovation Suvit Maesincee and Kobsak Pootrakool, deputy secretary-general to the PM for political affairs, gave up their portfolios effective immediately.

The fact he has to actually say this speaks massive volumes about this government’s reputation.

That statement could become true if he and his regime cronies and behind lickers all stepped out.

That was my first  thought: is he resigning? With the drugsdealer and other incompetent f**ls in tow.

Would be a start, if the Senat was to do follow likewise that would be welcome too.

I wonder if he realises how many good laughs we get every time he opens his mouth and tries to say something serious.

If its capable people he has to have, better start immigration on organising the needed work permits. Can't say there are quality candidates coming to mind locally after all.

Only thing the present mob are capable of is getting their LARGE snouts in the trough.

Unlikely to happen with so many dinosaurs pulling the string saying that Thai people shouldn't be like foreigners, not let themselves be influenced by foreigners and not conspire with communists, pride in the nation and jadajada.

What happens in a lot of demockracy's is once the departed are outta the door they stick the boot to the Boss proper by spilling the beans on TV and to the press .. so the ones who've been shown the door the last few days should be lining up to take a shot .. but will they do it .?

Capable of what?

Nope; because they all have too many dirty secrets that would be used by others to discredit them and make them 'lose face ' !

Another Prayut 'Promise' to add to all the broken ones that have preceded it.   His promises are about as reliable as a Chocolate Teapot !
