newnative
Disgusting. And no reason given for why the charges were dropped. Well, of course not--the reason is disgusting. Hopefully karma will catch up with the murderer soon. 1

TKDfella
This is no surprise. The effort, or the lack of, of trying to bring this criminal to justice, suggested that this would be the result. Shameful.

You're not making arguments for right vs wrong. You're making arguments based off where these criminals come from. You're looking at this like a sports fan looks at his sports team. They defend their sports team through thick and thin. This is something that's commendable and doesn't actually hurt anyone. What you're doing is saying that Boss' case should be ignored as criminals in other countries get away with crimes. You're saying this because he's Thai and you're Thai. You're treating him like he's on your team and you don't care what he did. Well, he killed someone. A family lost a brother, a son and dad. This ain't sports it's real life. If other countries have broken justice systems, then aspire to be better. Two wrongs don't make a right. When you defend and ignore this kind of behaviour, you perpetuate it. So if it ever happens to you, you will have zero right to complain.

paddypower
Hope this get enormous international coverage. Shame on you, not on the people of Thailand, but on the Prime Minister who has allowed this travesty of justice. Needs a boycott - but that is useless, as nobody wants to hurt ordinary Thais. what is needed is some brave Thais to register a charge in court against the PM with sullying the reputation of the Kingdom of Thailand.. 1
Konini
Oddly, or perhaps not, the report in the BP is the Reuters one. I had just read it word for word in one of the Australian papers and was looking forward to reading a Thai reporters' version. I was sorely disappointed. I always try to look on the bright side and see the good in things (I'd go crazy if I didn't), the only bright side of this I can come up with is it's a cunning ploy to get him back into the country. Don't know what the laws are about reinstating or making new charges would be, but it's all I can come up with.
