Australian state records daily virus record, warns of lockdown extension

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia's Victoria state on Monday reported the country's highest daily increase in coronavirus infections, prompting the authorities to warn a six-week lockdown may last longer if people continue to go to work while feeling unwell.

Immigration: Red Bull "Boss" removed from blacklist on July 14th - no record of him coming back to Thailand

Deputy immigration spokesman Pol Col Phakkhapong Sai-udom told the press at the weekend that Red Bull heir Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya was removed from an immigration blacklist on July 14th.

Phuket students hold anti-government protest

PHUKET: Some 350 students turned out for an anti-government rally at Saphan Hin on the outskirts of Phuket Town yesterday evening (July 26) calling for the government to step down and criticising its handling of the COVID-19 economic crisis and the ensuing mass unemployment that has arisen throughout the country.

Sattahip: Drunk on a motorcycle "went for a sleep in the central reservation"

Police in Sattahip were called after a good Samaritan saw a drunk motorcyclist veer off into the central reservation on Sukhumvit Road near the Chumphon Navy School in Bang Saray in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Thai police to examine dropping of hit-and-run charges vs Red Bull heir

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's police said on Monday they would look into why criminal charges were dropped against the heir to the Red Bull energy drink fortune, who was accused of a 2012 hit-and-run killing of a police officer while driving a sports car.

CCSA eyes guidelines on sending children back to school

HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnam is evacuating 80,000 people, mostly local tourists, from the central tourism hot spot of Danang after three residents tested positive for the coronavirus at the weekend, the government said on Monday.

Rayong steps up tourism recovery

RAYONG (NNT) - Rayong province is now considered clear of any potential local outbreak of COVID-19, after nobody was found to have contracted the virus since an Egyptian Air Force officer later identified as virus positive, spent time in city shops in the province two weeks ago. Moving forward, all sectors in the province came together to restore safety in the province’s tourism sector.
