Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is reported to be uncomfortable with the widespread public criticism of the decision, by public prosecutors, not to pursue the case against Red Bull heir Vorayuth Yoovidhya over the hit-and-run case, in which a serving police officer was killed.

Government spokesperson Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat said today (Monday) that the Prime Minister has denied any involvement or interference with the prosecutors’ handling of the case, as is being implied by some critics.

She said he has ordered authorities concerned to investigate the case from the very beginning, to find the truth, to ensure fairness to all parties concerned, and to allay public doubts about the prosecutors’ controversial decision.

The title says that he is uncomfortable with the decision, but in the text he appears to be uncomfortable with the public criticism.......

The very beginning is the corruption. Wanna go down that road? Didn't think so....

Come on people we might as well stop talking about this, it pointless.

Mysterious witnesses that suddenly appear 8 years after the fact!

We all knew what the outcome of this was going to be years ago.

So we'll have a few days of Twitter outrage, but the vast majority of the population will roll their eyes and say 'It's the Thai way'

That's not what the RTP are doing!!!!

He is concerned about the reflection on his person resulting from a corrupted jurisdiction in the country he is leading. He should be.

Now pretending to find the real truth. Everybody knows it already.

  • Popular Post

"uncomfortable", that's rather strong language. He really should keep himself and his tone in check.

What truth, you <deleted>? Investigation didn't needed a Sherlock, a 2nd grader would have done a better job. Amazing the nerves on these pricks!

Of course he doesn't like the criticism of a criminal. And it doesn't take a genius to see why.

Uncomfortable or embarrassed...?    :whistling:....................????

  • Popular Post

Total BS. He is uncomfortable with the public's reaction to the stunning degree of corruption involved, and the appearance of an absolute failure of Thailand's justice system. And he dislikes how it makes the country look to the rest of the world.

This was never about justice, and fairness and righteousness have no place in this man's agenda. This is only about the small, weak, pathetic and petty practice of saving face.

The Constitutional Court judge said that many people believe that the Prime Minister’s reported acceptance of a 300 million baht donation from the Red Bull empire a few months ago, might be related to the decisions of the prosecutors and the police concerning the case.

I'll just leave this here!  ????

If they'd pursued the little anchor and nailed him for it they wouldn't have to " allay " the doubts .. but when you are allowed to scoot to and fro' with impunity then the decision to let him get away with it is no surprise is it .. so wear the criticism that comes with that bought decision Mr P .. it all comes with the territory of politics ..

Taken from the above report from last May:

Chalerm Yoovidhya of Red Bull has donated Bt300 million to the organisation established to help the public.

No he's not! He's an authoritarian ruler! There is another adjective, starts with D, but it escapes for the moment! ????

What a putz. He doesn't like anyone speaking up about any decision the regime's government makes.

Yep 300 million of amnesty! So he will sweep it all under the carpet and tell the public to be quiet as it is all by the law.

Thai people genuinely feel that they can do nothing about it. They just sit back and accept it.

Is any non-billionaire in Thailand comfortable with Prayut?

he's just trying to put a little water to the fire and pretend that he didn't know.... wait a couple days and it will all gone, like water under the bridge, he's supposed to be the RTP & RTA boss and I am sure he knew about the all scheme, better stop pretending he didn't know
