Law professors demand explanations from prosecutors and police over Red Bull heir’s case

Exactly, even if this is blown away as we expect Mr. Vorayuth Yoovidhya is going to find it hard to return and walk around like normal, he will be vilified everywhere he goes and with everyone he chooses to be with.

The press will hound him forever.

He might have got his name cleared but coming back here to a normal life is going to prove difficult.

The press would not hound him for fear of their jobs and careers. A free press it isn't. Perhaps as he roars around the London west end in his supercar he will meet justice.

And in the next wave of news we will see 32 Thamarsat Law professors arrested for Deformation of Character and the offences under the Computer Crimes act...

The professors can demand an explanation, but have no chance of it ever happening. Too many officials/ police have got BIG backhanders from this case, cover up, cover up, is the name of the game.

Not so sure about that. He can send his driver or a bodyguard into the 7-Eleven to buy a coke on his way to a Bangkok night club where the owner will personally welcome him back because he knows the 200,000 Baht bill will be paid without an eyebrow raised. The hostesses will be fighting who can sit with him in his VIP room looking forward to big tips. Fellow heirs of the rich and famous will gather around him to hear from him personally how he got away with it all and to be reassured they can also should the need arise. Telephone numbers of people to contact will be exchanged. Then they will all have a good laugh at the ordinary people who can do absolutely nothing about it.

The press will easily be kept at bay and yes there will be an occasional photo of him getting in or out a limousine but he will not lose any sleep over that. It will quickly fade away.

Ahhh,  so thats where he buys his 'Çoke'.......  7/11

It is reported that the prosecutors based their decision not to prosecute on new evidence, provided by two witnesses, which emerged eight years after the fatal accident.

The best witnesses that money could buy... 8 years after the fact!!!

Why not also drop all charges and revoke all convictions of the venerable Thaksin Shinewatra and his lovely sister. Come to think of it, institute a law that bars legal proceedings against anyone who has billions in the bank. It would only make official what is de facto already.

So it's going to be the same route as with election. Pm is going to make a special investigation panel. And so that no1 will doubt it, it will be approved by higher up. And then no1 can complain when they find no errors. Ofcourse all questions will be transfered and answered by this special council and all decisions will be locked for safety reasons

I'm guessing these belated "investigations" will go much the same path as the belated, half-hearted investigations into Prawit's watch collection.

How can you have 32 law professors at one university. Don't they have normal teaching staff. When I went to uni the head of faculty was the only professor.

What on earth makes you think a 'normal life' was ever on his agenda ? ????

No doubt , they will be out of a job soon .

If law professors are being emboldened, it may be a reflection of the feeling young people have. Promising the sun, moon and stars is fine, but a bowl of rice will do just as well for many.

Demanding something after the brown envelopes have changed hands is quite useless. They should have kept the pressure on before that happened.

Looks like RedBull forgot to pay the professors

Thailand is special in that way. In other countries the more you ignore something like this the more it will blow up. Here the more you delay the more people are OK with it.

Thai culture , you can get away  with murder , if you have the money ..

PS, if it was a Issan  person that was killed , and not a cop..

No problem , it would not have make the news . TIT...
