Any recommended tests? (I am not trying to hijack the thread. Posted here as it is similar) In women this is often a sign of a urinary tract infection, which women are very prone to. Especially so if the amount of urine passed each time is small. She needs to see a doctor. If the volume of urine each time is a lot, then may be drinking too much fluids before bedtime.

July 30, 20205 yr Many people assume they have high blood pressure. If your blood pressure is normal, and you are taking medication to make it normal, then you do not have high-blood pressure. What you have is treated high blood pressure. High blood pressure demands treatment. Treated high blood pressure is just that, it's treated and the damage is mitigated. You may have issues from taking certain medication, and this is another issue, but the damage to your body from the high BP is not the issue.

Before even thinking about such treatments you need to get a handle on your condition: size of the prostate, whether any indication of cancer or inflammation. https://www.lyfboat.com/hospitals/greenligh-laser-pvp-photoselective-vaporization-of-the-prostate-hospitals-and-costs-in-bangkok/

Best to stop drinking anything after say 5pm, bar maybe a coffee, which is a slight diuretic and contrary to popular myth, unless its an espresso, will not keep you awake. Seems to work for me. The other interesting phenomena, for me at least, is to have sex before sleep, that works too. Always good advice for any problem, if you have a good partner. 8 ^)

I use both. They help alot. They also help with general health of the prostate. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) Studies in people suggest that stinging nettle, in combination with other herbs (especially saw palmetto), may be effective at relieving symptoms such as reduced urinary flow, incomplete emptying of the bladder, post urination dripping, and the constant urge to urinate. Are you able to say about how long it would take to notice a difference? Any recommendations on amount? Thanks.

You need to take real medicine to alleviate this problem. I've been taking Saw Palmetto for 18 months (2x 450mg/day), it does nothing. Without the Doxazocin I'm back to the start in 2-3 days. I bought 4 tubs of 450mg x 250 tablets, not expensive, but ineffective. Once I've run out I won't be buying any more. Edited July 31, 20205 yr by BritManToo

August 1, 20205 yr First thing to do is get your blood sugar tested. When I was diabetic I used to get up once or twice every night, Since reversing my diabetes I have an uninterrupted night's sleep.
August 1, 20205 yr Author THANK you for all your (positive) answers in this difficult question! As there seems to be more specialists involved I go next week talking with my general doctor. There are two important things and that's my age: 1 is around the prostate which is the easiest "problem" I think and 2 is my head (Neurologist) who cannot do almost anything but giving medicines. I visited already loads of Neurologists, showed them the MRI scans and they only gave me medicines and said "go to a sleeping doctor" who is no specialist! I don't have sugar, my measurement is before breakfast around 97! My blood pressure is also ok. A short time ago I got an answer from a pensioned doctor in Thailand that an operation for prostate cancer is not useful on my age: I am not getting one day older on my age! I better do a Green Laser treatment!

What bacteria was identified and how was it treated?

The very first thing I would check is blood sugar and also if there is any sugar in the urine. When it goes over 180 mg/dl the body gets rid of excess through urination. Then, if you don't already have one, have a <deleted> bottle next to the bed so that urination doesn't disturb your sleep as much as making a trek to the bathroom every time. The Tesco 6L water containers have a wide neck.
