Soi Hong Nan as it is referred to by many, is a toilet and you see people cooking over top of a grey water drain and vent with the vent directly under the food being prepared. It should be closed. But I have to ask, why does anybody care about the image of one of the largest “reasonably safe” brothels in the world? I have been here since 1997 and I came for exactly that reason alone - not for cheap food or warm sunshine. Vancouver is and was too expensive for girls. -

Cheap decent red wine
Waiting for the tariffs to be pulled. Thailand will never be a place to get really good wine at fair prices but if they lose the tariffs we will be able to get a lot of drinkable juice from Australia, South America and California. Probably Italy and Spain too. The shippers will need to be big enough to offer full containers at first. It will take a few years to sort the French stuff because they will be dumping the plonk on the rubes. I saw this first hand in Mexico and China. Some great bargains though like Chateau LaFite gran Cru du Bordeaux for 800 baht a bottle. Never had the guts to pull the trigger. 😬 Hopefully it will motivate the locals but they are growing the wrong grapes. There are a few drinkable wines made locally but they are sheltered by crazy tariffs and the quality is not there yet. They need to take a page from Banyon Tree in India, where they recruited a bunch of students from the wine university in Barcelona and let them make the wine. It worked, the best wine in India. -

Sun Pharma is an Indian, not Thai, manufacturer. Thrte are a coupld if Thsi brands that come in 10mg dose: Esopam, which is Thai made, comes in both 10 and 20mg dose. However does not look like the 20mg dose is scored so breaking in hslf not advidable. There is snother Thsi madr brand called Jovia, comes in 10mg only. I can't advise the costs. While these drugs are sold over the counter in Thailand it is not a good idea to self-prescribe. Additionally, side effect profiles can vary depending on the patient's overall condition and medical history. Taking the advice of a good psychistrist specializing in mood disorders is the best approach. -
