I guess it is all a lie the UK does not have people illegally trying to get into the country from areas that are not war torn countries. But yes lets believe your version as I am sure it makes you feel better.

How about providing context for the 'error'...will it cost more to relocate them to an urban location?

 

Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for the Home Office said: ‘On Friday afternoon (14 August) the Home Office became aware that an error was made in placing asylum seekers.

‘This error was the result of operational failures where the correct policy and procedures were not followed.

‘The Home Office has a statutory obligation to provide asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute with accommodation. ‘But they should be placed in major conurbations wherever possible so that appropriate support and services can be more readily provided.

‘As this is not the case in this instance, alternative accommodation provision has since been sought in accordance with the Immigration Asylum Act 1999 and the Asylum Support Regulations 2000.

 The difference is quite clear to all those who view the problem objectively.

 

An asylum seeker is someone who makes a claim for asylum after entering the country; whether they entered legally or illegally.

 

An illegal immigrant is someone who does not intend to claim asylum and either entered the country illegally or entered legally and has overstayed their visa. A sub class, if you will, is someone in the country with a valid visa but is breaking the conditions of that visa; such as a student working more than the permitted number of hours.

 

Although the line is blurred as some who enter illegally with the intention of claiming asylum are imprisoned by and forced to work for the gangs who brought them here.

 

There is also, of course, a big difference between an asylum seeker, a refugee and a failed asylum seeker.

Addendum

None of those complaining about accommodating those who have reached the UK and claimed asylum in hotels until more suitable accommodation has been found has offered an alternative.

 

Except for one member who suggested effectively evicting the population of the Isle of Wight and placing the migrants there:
