No point in expecting the Royal Navy to protect Britain's borders and inhabitants. What might work, seeing as it works for everything else, is money. I would have Boris tell Macron that for every ille

Maybe Boris should just build a wall and get the French to pay for it?

telling the truth that some people with their heads in the sand do nothing but complain about and try to play the ever so typical R card. Farage has been saying this and exposing it for ages.

Some people need to look exactly where many of these refugees come from and see they are being conned. I am still trying to work out which is worse being gullible or plain thick.

Farage has a long history of false and misleading info so, with permission of the Mod, to use your words, who is the one that's "gullible or plain thick", 'cause it isn't me.

If you say so but its all in your name

I guess it is all a lie the UK does not have people illegally trying to get into the country from areas that are not war torn countries. But yes lets believe your version as I am sure it makes you feel better.

Farage vilifies all asylum seekers, just as do a number of members of TVF - bye

Kindly cease your misrepresentation of content. You're only trolling by not providing any facts whatsoever to support your accusations all asylum seekers crossing the channel are 'illegal'. Just because some right-wing populist poser makes the unsubstantiated claim does not make it factual.

Legal status under current UK law has been posted many times, one last time...

Farage's 'porkies' are getting so bad I might have to refer this to ofcom...????

Home Office chiefs have apologised for an 'error' after Nigel Farage was filmed visiting a hotel housing migrants in Priti Patel's constituency.

The Brexit party leader  yesterday claimed a hotel in Ms Patel's constituency had been used to house asylum seekers after they had crossed the English Channel from France.

The former UKIP MEP shared a video on Twitter in which he is seen visiting the £54-a-night Rivenhall Hotel in Witham, Essex - the Conservative MP's constituency...

And what about the 14 day quarantine?

How about providing context for the 'error'...will it cost more to relocate them to an urban location?

Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for the Home Office said: ‘On Friday afternoon (14 August) the Home Office became aware that an error was made in placing asylum seekers.

‘This error was the result of operational failures where the correct policy and procedures were not followed.

‘The Home Office has a statutory obligation to provide asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute with accommodation. ‘But they should be placed in major conurbations wherever possible so that appropriate support and services can be more readily provided.

‘As this is not the case in this instance, alternative accommodation provision has since been sought in accordance with the Immigration Asylum Act 1999 and the Asylum Support Regulations 2000.

Pretending not to know the difference between bona-fide asylum seekers and illegal immigrants adds nothing whatsoever to this de-bait. ????

The difference is quite clear to all those who view the problem objectively.

An asylum seeker is someone who makes a claim for asylum after entering the country; whether they entered legally or illegally.

An illegal immigrant is someone who does not intend to claim asylum and either entered the country illegally or entered legally and has overstayed their visa. A sub class, if you will, is someone in the country with a valid visa but is breaking the conditions of that visa; such as a student working more than the permitted number of hours.

Although the line is blurred as some who enter illegally with the intention of claiming asylum are imprisoned by and forced to work for the gangs who brought them here.

There is also, of course, a big difference between an asylum seeker, a refugee and a failed asylum seeker.

None of those complaining about accommodating those who have reached the UK and claimed asylum in hotels until more suitable accommodation has been found has offered an alternative.

Except for one member who suggested effectively evicting the population of the Isle of Wight and placing the migrants there:

Isle of Wight could house some nice detention centers

Then there was the member who wanted to shoot and kill them. His posts suggesting this have been rightfully removed by the Mods.

Funny how these "hey look over there, see those dirty illegal immigrants commin to take yer jaabs" stories always come out when there are negative Brexit stories bubbling up into the main stream.

Dirty illegal immigrants , in the UK ..

Dirty farlangs / aliens, in the Kingdom of Thailand .

At least we have something in common . Not wanted ..
