Four Thais, one American found to have Covid-19 in state quarantine

The government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported five new cases in state quarantine over a 24-hour period today (August 12), the 79th day Thailand has seen no domestic case since May.

DDC says two virus cases found in Japan might have originated in Thailand

Two men, one Thai and one Japanese, have tested positive in Japan for Covid-19 after returning to that country from Thailand, Department of Disease Control director-general Dr Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai reported yesterday (August 11).

New Air Asia routes from Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani start September 25th

Manager reported that budget airline Air Asia are adding twenty two new domestic flights out of and returning to Suvarnabhumi Airport commencing 25th September.

Restrictions on schools, public transport, sports events to be lifted

Existing virus-related restrictions on educational institutions, public transport and sporting events will be lifted from tomorrow (August 13), the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration announced today.

Thailand’s central region has a 70% chance of experiencing flooding over the next two months, with Ayutthaya province expected to be hardest hit because of its limited water retention area in the Chao Phraya River basin, predicted Dr. Seri Suprathit, director of Rangsit University, Climate Change and Disaster Centre.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesia reported 1,942 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 130,718, data from the government's health ministry website showed.

Facebook removed 7 million posts in second quarter for false coronavirus information

(Reuters) - Facebook Inc. said on Tuesday it removed 7 million posts in the second quarter for sharing false information about the novel coronavirus, including content that promoted fake preventative measures and exaggerated cures.
