Did thailand miss the point??

After living in the NEW NOW here in Thailand  for about half a year

And looking at the development and effect of the corona virus worldwide

I sort of get the notion that Thailand missed the point of the whole virus situation

Thailand is without a doubt bankrupt or almost

People are unemployed and no real help for them

When I look at the countries,

who more or less  welcomed and ignored the virus

I see economies that are not at all affected by the virus

No more poverty in those countries than before

And when I look at my own family and friends and all the people I know

Not 1 of them has had,or heard from anyone having the virus or dying of it

Every 40 years Europa used to have a war that killed millions of people

And so bringing work and welfare in rebuilding the countries

would like to know if I am the only one having this notion,

that this virus is just modern warfare

that only kills the weak and lets the workers and tax payers live on

This is the hard reality, now the so called succesfull nation that repelled

the virus is at an economical abyss, because of the military blockade

and they are still talking more blockade,so did they miss the point or not?

  • I think Thailand did an excellent job in containing the covid virus.  I feel much safer here than in many other countries where continued virus spikes have occurred.

  • Wow, i didnt think it was possible to incorporate so many conspiracy theories and misinformation into one post.   We're gunna need a bigger tin foil hat.

  • Completely Untrue....the current account surplus and the baht's persistent strength against the US Dollar should have given you a clue as to how far off the mark that statement is.

i think you are missing the point too, this topic is not about feeling safe:

If that was the reason, it's a total failure as it hardly kills anyone.

Virus would need to kill 10% of the population not the current 0.05%

I would agree that this is the start of WWIII inflicted on the world by expansionist China as part of their 100 year marathon to conquer the world. In excess of 21 million cases with 762,000 deaths, not bad without firing a bullet! America has lost, in 6 months three times the number killed in the American war in Vietnam in 10 years (58,000).  Incidentally , the 100 year marathon began in 1949 when the communists defeated the nationalists.

it is a selective killing off the old weak and sick, who mostly are at costs of the goverments welfare unemployment and pensions, perfection at the least

NEW YORK: Thailand’s 12-month trade surplus with the US has exceeded US$20 billion, increasing its chance of being included on the US Treasury’s watchlist of currency manipulators, although the central bank governor said dialogue is ongoing.

virus is real for sure, but very selective so it must be:The new world order killing off the weak

A $20 Billion trade surplus is a sign of a strong economy, the country can take a hit on that surplus and still be in good shape.

When the surplus is gone and the baht collapses, you can start talking about Thailand being bankrupt.

You do realize you're only posting arguments that prove your initial thesis incorrect ?

The brightest scientists, politicians and financiers behind the institutions saving us from this virus are the same angels that were behind Mao's revolution creating the utopian system in which China lives under today.  A system they would like to roll out globally.  The west has dragged its heals in the terms of mass surveillance, facial recognition and social credit systems,  people in the west, in theory at least, still hold onto draconian concepts such as freedom of speech, freedom of movement the right to assemble, democracy and other orwellian ideas. In China the authorities know what is best and decide whats going to happen, and that's what happens, no need to consult out dated constitutions and such.  Though the time has come to roll out sunshine and lollipops to the rest of the world.  During this pandemic you will notice western police forces starting to act more humane as they do in China.  Never mind the anti maskers and conspiracy theorists some who make ridiculous claims such as, Karry Mullis, the developer of the PCR test stating that the test should not be used to diagnose infectious disease and can only detect RNA genetic material which has many possibilities for being present.  Of course smart people who can afford a TV can clearly see lock-downs, masks, social distancing and curfews are needed because Dr. Tedros and Bill Gates said we should be smart like China.  Of course Gates is the second biggest financier of WHO second only to the US government,  and in my book anyone trying to pass off Melinda as a female should be trusted 100%.  The fascist statistics in Italy stated 99% of people said to have died from covid-19 had one or more morbidity reasons to die.  Similar government statements were made in racist America proving that Black Lives Matter somehow.  In the defence of free speech we all need to unite and join forces in demonizing, ridiculing, silencing and removing the wackos, nutters and their opinions that do not align with ours ensuring we hold the narrative and the ability to change that narrative whenever we see fit. God Speed Comrades.

What medication are you on? Thailand is doing way better than most countries. Most of your statements in the OP are complete BS.

no matter how much money they print , and no matter how many times people think that they

will have to "pay" somewhere down the line.............. the game keeps going their way.

Now that is amazing.   Don't ask me how they get away with it , but they do.

Funny, when Zimbabwe tried to play that game   hahahaha    they were crushed.   Nope,

only the big boys get to sit at the printing press table.  And millionaires become billionaires........

Not really. For one thing, Thailand has a highly protected economy. So inferior goods and services are protected from competition. Also, what was Thailand's total external trade - imports and exports - for the period and how does that compare to corresponding periods?

I was going to ask the same.  My home country of the USA is getting decimated and spending trillions just to get back to the status quo.  It's pretty rare that an OP can be so completely wrong, but khun wazzup managed to achieve that.
