Trading standards officers armed with a search warrant issued by the Minburi court to the excise department raided a house in Soi Maklao 15.

They found 18 gallons of essence used to make fake perfume along with 3,000 bottles of perfume ready to be distributed.

Tax had not been paid according to the law.

Owner and manager Phongthip, 37, was arrested and faces charges under 2017 excise regulations.

The haul was worth over a  million baht.

Daily News said that many places were raided in their headline but gave no evidence of this in their story, notes Thaivisa.

Just quizzed my wife, so says Phongthip is a man's name.

Hmmm 'a poem sung' to the toilet vs 'water' from the toilet... I still think water from the toilet is a tad funnier when taken literally.

Perhaps it was intended as toilet humour?

Thanks Frits, this was covered in an earlier post... "ode" was a pun... ie a toilet joke, poetic justice.

Seemed to have gone over some peoples heads including yours.
